We arrived in plenty of time to board our tour bus to the Everglades. German was informative and helpful throughout. The boat tour was fantastic and again with a great guide who had excellent knowledge of the flora, fauna and creatures native to the park. We followed the tour with an alligator show. We boarded the bus back to Miami and were dropped off at the harbour for the boat tour around the islands of the rich and famous. Sadly our time ran out and we didn’t have any time to do the open top bus tour. A big tip would be to plan the excursions over two days.
Really great activity! I recommend it 200%. The English guide (even if he is not bilingual) makes the visit super nice with humorous notes on the stars' houses and alternates with festive music! The tour is ideal at 5:30 p.m. because we start in the sun, then great light for photos and the beginning of the sunset and finally we finish the tour at night in front of the illuminated skyscrapers! The cocktail is overpriced ($30!!!) but it doesn't matter... because the cruise is very reasonable.
A 1-day ticket (Red Tour) is not enough for all stops, so you should either book the 2-day ticket straight away or just choose 3-4 stops to see at your leisure. I found it unfortunate that you cannot start the tour at any stop, as you can ONLY exchange your voucher for a ticket at the Bayside Kiosk. But otherwise it's great!
Our guide on the bus to the Everglades had zero enthusiasm and minimal nuggets of tour content…our airboat driver and cruise boat guide both had awesome energy and provided lots of info! We ended up skipping the open-air bus tour.
