Santa Marta: Tayrona Boat Tour with Lunch

Santa Marta: Tayrona Boat Tour with Lunch

We will meet at 8:30 am at Marina Internacional de Santa Marta. From there we will leave in my boat to the Tayrona Park, specifically to the Bay of Cinto. During this 1.5 hour sea tour you will be able to see the Tayrona bays from the sea with the Sierra Nevada in the background. When we arrive at Cinto, we can walk along a paradisiacal beach, sunbathe or snorkel. We will visit the old mother, a river mouth full of crabs and other animals. At 12 am we will get back on the boat and we will go to Playa Cristal, very famous for its transparent waters, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch on the seashore. We will bathe and do a little snorkeling. At 3 pm we will return to the boat to visit Bahía Concha. We will enjoy the sea and its white sand. At 4.30 we will start our return to the Marina Internacional de Santa Marta where we can watch the sunset while having a cold drink.

This was a great day. We had a blast even though it was the roughest boat ride out I have ever been on. We knew it would be as the conditions had been windy and rough for a few days. My kids loved it and said it was their favorite thing we did on our whole Columbia vacation. The beaches were amazing though be aware the locals try to sell you beach chairs, massages, etc at each place so be ready. The fried snapper for lunch was awesome. Snorkeling at the second beach was incredible. We saw so much and the reef was in way better shape than any place we have been in the carribean. The boat ride back was much better going with the wind and waves so that was a relief. Would highly recommend if your family is up for something that is an adventure. We had my 70+ year old in laws with us and my 4 year old nephew and they all loved it too.

Edgar was our guide, very attentive and respectful. Seriously consider that if you can't stand a fast boat with a lot of bustle and bumps, it won't be your tour because it is 1hr one way to the first beach with strong waves, personally I don't have a problem but it may be something to consider for someone else. The beaches are beautiful, few people and the food is delicious, the timing is perfect and you get back at a good time. Considering the above, I would recommend this tour.

Guide was amazing. On the way out, the waters were pretty choppy, but the captain did a good job keeping us on course. The highlight was certainly the lunch at the restaurant. Tour group had 6 people, all varying ages and countries of origin. Excellent experience.

Everything was perfect! Louis and Michael were very kind and attentive! The beaches, the food, the sea and the sun, not to mention the other passengers, all these elements made this day unforgettable!

It was a bumby ride at open sea but it was so cool!
