Lisbon’s latest tourist and cultural attraction, the Pilar 7 Experience, promises to show the bridge as you've never seen it before. The experience takes you on a journey through the construction of this national treasure, before finishing off with an elevator ride up to a height of 80 meters. Here, take in a stunning panoramic view of the city, particularly of the Belém area and the Tagus River. Just stop and think for a minute about the sheer scale of the structure as you explore the area around the Pilar 7, and delve into some of the more interesting facts concerning the construction of the bridge. A suspended stairway takes you to another room where a set of overhead and underfoot mirrors lets you to see deep into the core of Pilar 7. A quite incredible view of the riverside unfolds as you move along the walkway to the much-anticipated highpoint of the visit. The viewpoint, at the same level as the roadway carried by the bridge, is one of the project’s main attractions and the views certainly don’t disappoint. Areas that have been inaccessible until now, such as the top of the pillars, can now be visited by means of a virtual reality tour if the add-on is purchased.

Beginners of all ages and abilities can join the introduction to learn the basics of climbing. Get to grips with some of the sport's essential techniques, learn how to solve bouldering problems, and discover how the auto-belay systems work. If you have climbed before, join the medium-level course. Focus on roped climbing and learn crucial techniques such as rope and knot work, belaying, and top roping. Both courses teach you how to climb in the bouldering and auto-belay section of the bridge, which has multiple climbing routes up to 40 feet tall. After your course, spend the rest of the day exploring the facilities and climbing routes on your own.
