Phnom Penh Historical Sites Tour by Tuk Tuk

I really enjoyed this tour of Phnom Penh’s historical sites! The guide was absolutely fantastic—so knowledgeable, passionate about his culture, and incredibly generous in sharing it with us. I learned so much, and overall, it was an unforgettable experience. That said, the pickup process was a bit disorganized. The tour was advertised as including hotel pickup, but when I went down to the lobby, no one was there, and I hadn’t received any confirmation via WhatsApp. After waiting well past the scheduled time, I finally reached out, and they sent a tuk-tuk driver to pick me up. It felt rushed, like I was holding things up, but it turned out the other guests—a mother and daughter—had a similar pickup issue. A more streamlined pickup process would definitely improve the experience. That aside, the tour itself was incredible, and I’d still highly recommend it! With just a little more organization at the start, it would be perfect.

I enjoyed my tour, Martin/e the guide was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. When I asked what longan fruit was at the Central Market Martin bought some as well a different fruit for us to try. Because the tour was during Chao Praya some areas of the Royal Palace were closed. We were caught in a thunderstorm at Wat Phnom Daun Penh and the tuk-tuk roof leaked a little. Don't forget a raincoat or umbrella and remember that consent is the only difference between getting caught in the rain and having a shower with your clothes on. Very enjoyable, recommend this tour.
