Drive along the famous N222 route, often called one of the most scenic roads in Portugal, continue your journey to a Douro winery (quinta) that has a spectacular view over the river. Take a guided tour through the cellars, learning about the estate’s rich history and wine-making processes. This will be followed by a tasting of their finest Port wines. After the tasting continue and arrive in the scenic town of Pinhão to embark on a private cruise along the Douro River. As you cruise along the Douro River, enjoy a selection of local tapas featuring cured meats, traditional bola de carne (savory meat pie), savor a traditional pastel de nata, Portugal’s famous custard tart and other regional specialties paired with Sparkling Wine, this onboard experience gives you a taste of the region’s culinary heritage while surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Following the cruise, continue with a scenic drive toward the town of Amarante. Along the way, make stops at various viewpoints, allowing you to capture photos of the iconic Douro landscapes. The tour wraps up back to Porto, arriving more or less around 3:30 PM.

Savor a delicious all-inclusive lunch that will be served onboard the boat. Sail to the Carrapatelo Dam, and continue to the Crestuma-Lever. After crossing the 2 dams, enjoy the serenity of the Douro River as you continue to Porto for an estimated arrival at 6:00 PM.
