We begin our panoramic tour in the heart of the city to admire the Arab-Norman architecture and take advantage of the warm Sicilian sun for a walk to discover the history and traditions of Palermo, walking through the Art Center and visiting the main tourist attractions such as
the very elegant Teatro Massimo, the local neighborhood markets (where it will be possible on request to make stops to taste some typical Palermo delicacies), the Historic Center with the Quattro Canti, the Cathedral of S. Rosalia, the Royal Palace, the oldest Royal Residence of Europe and much more.
As soon as the Tour ends we will travel on the Northern coast of Sicily and about 70 km from Palermo, we will visit Cefalù, a small seaside village with an enchanting historic center characterized by narrow streets, paved with pebbles from the beach and the limestone of the Rocca di Cefalù. We will visit the Cathedral, begun in 1131 by the Norman King Roger, where the interior of the building is covered with Byzantine mosaics from the 1200s and present the image of Christ Pantocrator in the apse. We will walk along the entire Main Street, Corso Ruggero, and then contemplate the beauty of the medieval wash house.
Possibility to stop for lunch in a local restaurant (Recommended for fish since we are in a fishing village).
