The drive from Palermo to Agrigento was absolutely beautiful! The countryside was gorgeous with stunning views full of greenery and wildflowers. Our driver was so full of knowledge of the history of Sicily and even sang to us along the way. Well worth the price we paid.

Full description

Enjoy a scenic drive into the countryside to Agrigento on this full-day excursion from Palmero, with stops to see ancient temples. Visit local Ruins and learn about the country's rich history before being transferred back to Palermo.

The excursion includes a short stop for a coffee en route to Agrigento, before arriving at the Valley of the Temples. You can further explore the Hera, Concordia and Apollo temples and Hardcastle villa, with a guidebook that will provide more information about the sites.

You’ll have free time to decide on a place for lunch, before your driver takes you to the Scala Dei Turchi Beach. After a photo stop , you'll be driven back to Palermo.

This day was absolutely beautiful, we did not know what to expect. I will restate the instructions. Please wear a hat. I did get extra sun on my head. It does take about two hours, but the walk is easy slightly downhill from the start to finish. The temples were beautiful. The photo opportunities were incredible.. The guide suggested we get a sandwich on the way at the first stop because there was no food opportunities and that is a really good idea.. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone. But be aware there is a lot of walking. Also, we’re comfortable shoes.
