Brussels: Private & Customizable Day Trip to Bruges

Brussels: Private & Customizable Day Trip to Bruges

Escape the hustle and bustle of Brussels and spend a day in the Belgian countryside. Customize your itinerary and enjoy a private tour with a local guide. Visit the medieval city of Bruges, the Lake of Love, and the Quay of the Rosary. Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Brussels. When on the road, your guide will share historical facts, necessary information about the sights, and personal input to immerse you into the Belgian lifestyle. Add or remove stops from the suggested itinerary and customize the ride according to your preferences. Arrive in the heart of the medieval city of Bruges, the Markt, a large square where tourists mingle with locals. Admire the imposing Belfry Tower, the top of which can reward you with a breathtaking and unforgettable panoramic view of the city. Architecture lovers will be astonished by the beautiful buildings in Brug Square. The Basilica of the Holy Blood, the City Hall, the Oude Griffie, and the Palace of Justice are all of a unique style. Wander around scenic Walplein and navigate through its narrow alleyways such as Stoofstraat. Let your driver show you St. Salvador's Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady and spend some time marveling at their richly decorated interior. In the latter, you will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the most celebrated treasure of the church, a white marble sculpture of the Madonna and Child created by Michelangelo. However, the main attraction of Bruges is the Lake of Love. Grab your significant other and take a long through the peaceful Minnerwaterpark. Local legend says that you will experience eternal love if you walk over the lake bridge with your partner. This, of course, turns Lake of Love into an exceptionally romantic spot. Enjoy the scenery from the lake bridge, one of the benches along the lake, or stroll through the calm park and take amazing photos. Lastly, the most photographed location in Bruges is Quay of the Rosary. Everything looks like something straight out of a medieval tale, with buildings like castles touching the water, all perfectly maintained. At the end of the tour, your guide will drop you off at your accommodation.

Brussels: Walking Tour from Central Station to Manneken Pis

Brussels: Walking Tour from Central Station to Manneken Pis

As capital of Belgium and of the European Union, Brussels offers the best of many worlds: from Gothic architecture to Art Nouveau, from historical places of interest like the Triumphal Arch in the Jubilee Park and the Palace of Justice to the Atomium, the icon of modernity, which was built to celebrate the Universal Exhibition Expo 58. The medieval town center is both trendy and traditional. Brussels is inviting with interesting contrasts, openness and a lot of vitality. Most impressive however, is the Grand Place with its Gothic Town Hall and gold leaf decorated facades of the guild houses. And of course, courtesy obliges you to pay a visit to Manneken Pis.

Phillipe was knowledgeable, friendly and fun!! He made an effort to get to know us personally as well as provide an informative and interesting tour. The tour itself took us outside the main city, allowing us to see more than you would usually see on a typical tourist route whilst gaining insight from a local Brussels local too. Would recommend to anyone looking to gain more than the average insight into the city of Brussels 👍🏻

Dan was extremely friendly and personable. He did a terrific job of giving context and details to some of Brussels’ most iconic locations, and other lesser-known ones, telling us fascinating stories we would never have heard otherwise. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, despite the rain. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Renato was “super”. He showed us a side of Brussels that is not too well known, but equally fascinating. Recommended for lovers of two wheels and for those who want to take a “different” trip from the usual one already seen.

Parker and the head guide were great! A big hello to the Scotish family I rode with. We went to areas that I would have never seen. One of the best bike trips I have ever been on!
