After a 90-minute relaxing bus journey, you will enter the remote area Tamokdalen where our wilderness camp is located. Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and outfitted with the essential gear including thermal suits, boots, and gloves, ensuring comfort and warmth for the adventure ahead. After preparations and necessary instructions on how to control and steer the sled, the main attraction awaits: set off on your unforgettable dog sledding adventure! On the dog sled ride you will pair up with another guest, with two of you sharing one sled. One takes on the role of musher, guiding a team of energetic huskies through the snowy terrain, while the other enjoys the ride seated on the sled. Halfway, you will have the chance to switch roles, allowing each person to experience both the thrill of leading a team of huskies and the joy of being a passenger. After the dog sled ride, you will have the opportunity to visit our dog yard and indulge in some cuddle time with the huskies. To complete the experience, you can relax and warm up with a hot meal and drink by the open fire inside one of the lávvus (indigenous Sámi tent). With memories made for life, it is time to board the bus again for your return to Tromsø, taking with you great memories of your adventurous day out in the Arctic wilderness.

After a 90-minute relaxing bus journey, you will enter the remote area Tamokdalen where our wilderness camp is located. Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and outfitted with all the necessary gear and clothing, including thermal suit, boots, gloves and helmet. Our expert guides will provide thorough safety instructions on how to drive a snowmobile, ensuring everyone feels confident and safe before heading out on the tour. Follow your tour guide and navigate along snowy trails, passing snow-covered mountains, valleys, frozen rivers, and lakes. You will share a snowmobile with another person, taking turns as the driver and passenger. Halfway through the tour, we’ll have a short break where you'll swap places, ensuring both of you have the chance to drive the snowmobile. After the tour, you will return to the camp, where a warm meal awaits in one of our traditional lavvus (indigenous Sámi tent). With food and drinks served, gathered around the open fire, you will get the chance to relax and share stories of your recent adventures! During peak season, we might split the group to avoid large groups. Half of the group will start with a warm meal in the lavvu before heading out on their snowmobile tour. With everyone returned to the camp, it's time to board the bus and return to Tromsø, taking with you great memories of an adrenaline-filled day in the Arctic wilderness!

Important update: Due to an unusually warm winter with high temperatures and extreme weather conditions, including storms and heavy rainfall, a significant part of the Snow Park is damaged and is currently closed. To compensate for this unfortunate occurrence and to enhance your experience, we have made some changes to the itinerary of this activity: Travel 1,5 hours by bus from Tromsø to the remote Tamok valley. Upon arrival at the camp, you can freshen up and get geared up in the warm winter clothes and boots we provide, ensuring you stay warm and comfortable throughout your stay at the camp. Our camp host will guide you through the day's program. Divided into smaller groups you will participate in a variety of engaging experiences, some accompanied by a guide, others to explore independently. Campfire Crafting Learn the essential survival skills from your knowledgeable guide as you partake in the art of crafting a campfire, essential for staying comfortable on a cold winter's day. Master the art of starting an outdoor fire yourself and gather around its warmth and light while you immerse yourself in captivating stories about the local lifestyle and the rich culture of the Arctic region. Grill your own sausage on the open fire while we will serve a warm soup and hot berry juice keeping you warm and cozy outdoors. Snow Adventures Get active and try navigating through snow-covered terrain on tandem skis. Race the other team for an extra dose of excitement! Learn about the history and evolution of skis; from a traditional form of transportation to its recreational & competitive forms today. Tromsø Ice Domes Explore our two domes together with your guide and learn about the construction process and the importance of snow and ice for those living in remote places such as Tamokdalen. Admire the sculptures created by our talented ice-artists and get a delicious non-alcoholic ice shot at our ice bar inside one of the domes, as well as a taste of local cheese with jam made from wild berries Encounters with Arctic Wildlife. Get close to the two most iconic animals of Northern Norway: cuddle and take photos with our huskies and go visit the reindeer herding near the Sculpture Park. After your visit, your day at Tromsø Ice Domes has come to an end and it is time to board the bus and return to Tromsø, taking with you great memories of this Arctic adventure and plenty of images of the magical snow art.

Eco-Friendly Snow Scooter Adventure in Tromsø (daytime) Experience the magic of Arctic winter on an electric snow scooter in a small private group of up to five people, led by a passionate local guide. We will start the evening with a presentation about the Northern Lights (the Aurora Borealis) and give some tips on how to photograph them. Depending on the weather conditions, we will take you on a short walk to different locations around the camp from where the northern lights can be observed. If all factors line up and we get a display of the nothern lights, we will spend as much time as we can outside to make sure you’ll experience the magic to the fullest. Ensuring you stay warm and comfortable, we will serve a hot meal around the open fire inside one of the lávvus (indigenous Sámi tent). After dinner the evening at Camp Tamok has come to an end and it is time to board the bus and return to Tromsø.
