The first part of the program begins with a transfer by bus, from your hotel to Ormos Panagias. Our cruise begins from there and sails to Ammouliani island, a beautiful island complex where you can swim, snorkel and then have lunch (incl.) on the beach. Afterwards we sail to the port of Ammouliani Island to where we will have a short stop in the village for a walk, our next stop is at Banana beach at Amouliani Isl. where on our 2 hours stop we will have time for swim, lunch and relaxation. On our way, back to the port of Ormos Panagia, we’ll enjoy a jump for 30 minutes in the crystal waters close to Vourvourou and between Diaporos islands. Our cruise ends at Ormos Panagias. Cruise from Ormos Panagias to Mount Athos and Ammouliani Island. See the monasteries of Mount Athos, relax on the beach at Ammouliani Island, and enjoy traditional Greek music on board. Depart from the port of Ormos Panagias on the vessel “Agios Georgios” or “Athos” at 9:30 AM. Embarkation starts at 8:30 AM. As you depart from Ormos Panagias to Mount Athos and Ammouliani, the schedule is announced from the speakers and there is an update on board. The route to the first monastery lasts 2.5 to 3 hours during which you can enjoy the cruise looking at both the Sithonia Peninsula and the Mount Athos one embracing the Siggitikos bay. If you have a look at the blue sea, you can spot dolphins which usually accompany you on the trip. At the same time, you will learn about the history of Mount Athos through the guided tour which is head on board from the speakers. The way the trip takes place depends on the weather conditions. If the weather conditions are favorable, then the trip departs from Ormos Panagias heading to H.M. Saint Pavlos which is situated at the foot of Mountain Athos which towers up to 2.033m., in the southern part of Mount Athos. If the weather conditions are not favorable, then the trip begins and the first destination is H.M. Dochiariou. During this route, you will be able to be tour guided and see 4 monasteries: Holy Monastery Docheiariou, H.M. Xenophontos, H.M. Panteleimonos (Russian Monastery), H.M. Xiropotamou, the central port of Mount Athos Daphni. Stop at about 1:30 PM at Banana Beach on Ammouliani Island. Relax there for 2 hours using sunbeds and under the shade of umbrellas. There is a beach bar where you can order anything you desire besides the menu you have already bought. The area is also ideal for those who love exploration and hiking since in its Southern part at the top of the mountain which is approximately 90m tall and 200m long of dirt road, there is a spot were you will be surely speechless by the panoramic view of the island, the open sea the Sithonia and the Mount Athos peninsula. After 2 hours of relaxation, food and exploration the vessel departs for its last trip today, whose destination is Ormos Panagias and it will be reached in 1 hour and 30 minutes. Arrival at Ormos Panagias is due at about 5:00 PM.

During this stop, explore the local market of the island and the old church of the village which is situated in the square and dates back to 1865 and was constructed by monks from Mount Athos. The island was a monastery dependency of H.M. Vatopedi until 1925, when it was granted to the Greek refugees from Minor Asia. Visit the folklore museum which was built in 1907 and was used by the locals as a school in the early years of the island. The old “arsanas” (dockyard) is really impressive and it was used by the monks as a docking place for the small wooden boats. Then, the vessel departs from the island and heads towards the Banana beach on Ammouliani which is situated after 15 minutes sailing. Relax there for 2 hours using sunbeds and under the shade of umbrellas, there is a beach bar where you can order anything you desire besides the menu you have already bought. The vessel stops at the open sea, in the crystal-clear blue waters of the area, where you will be able to dive from the vessel. Our stop lasts about 30 minutes. Our arrival at Ormos Panagias is due in about 20 minutes, approximately at 17:00.

You will be able to see from a close distance (from the boat), the mysterious and miraculous place which has been for centuries the center of orthodoxy and you will find out new information, through speaker, about the history of Mount Athos and 4 of its monasteries, our next stop approximatelly after 45 minutes travel time is the beach of Ammouliani Island, there you’ll have time for a bit of sunbath, swimming and lunch. Spend 2 hours relaxing on sunbeds under umbrellas, and enjoy refreshments from the beach bar. The area is perfect for exploration and hiking, with a panoramic view spot at the southern part of the island, offering breathtaking views of the island, open sea, Sithonia, and Mount Athos. Music and Dancing on Our Way Back After 2 hours of relaxation, food, and exploration, the vessel departs for its last trip of the day, heading back to Ormos Panagias, which will be reached in 1 hour and 30 minutes. During this trip, enjoy live traditional Greek music played by our bouzouki player. Sing along, dance, and take pictures with him as he moves among the passengers, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Arrival at Ormos Panagias is expected around 5:00 PM.
