Bergen: Nærøyfjord Cruise and Flåm Railway Ride to Oslo

Bergen: Nærøyfjord Cruise and Flåm Railway Ride to Oslo

After being picked up from your hotel, you can begin your journey to Gudvangen. On the way we make a stop at Tvinde Waterfall before heading to Gudvangen and a guided tour of Njardarheimr Viking Village. The Nærøyfjord is one of the narrowest fjords in Europe and your journey to Flåm will take about 2 hours. The boat is battery operated and high-comfort, with large windows and a good patio. In 2005, the Nærøyfjord was incorporated on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The fjord is surrounded by high mountains, and is a beautiful sight both in summer and winter. Flåm is a charming village surrounded by precipitous mountainsides, rumbling waterfalls, and narrow valleys. It is a  beautiful area to simply wander around, and whilst there you can also visit the Flåm Railway Museum. From Flåm the trip continues with the Flåm Railway, which is one of the world's steepest regular-track railway tracks. The 20-kilometer-long train journey gives you a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent of Norwegian mountain nature, including the famous Kjosfossen Waterfall. At Myrdal Station, your train will swap to the Bergen Railway which will take you to Voss. From there, a car will return you back to Bergen.

Exceptional. Perfect timing without dead time but without "rush" either allowing to see the fjord from all points of view. This trip and the beauty of the landscapes begin from the first kilometers by car and continue including on the train back to Oslo. This is a "private" trip (my wife and I were alone) in a luxurious car and our guide, very discreet and very competent, was more like a friend showing us the treasures of his country. A perfect excursion if, like us, you have limited time.

We had an amazing time in the nature of Norway. We took the tour in the low season and it was even more peaceful. There were less people around and we enjoyed the calming nature. Our tour guide Pål was really helpful. We took the best seat in the boat with his advise. It was an amazing experience. Highly recommended!

Michael, our guide was great kept us entertained and was very informative about Bergen the city as well as places along the way. the tour has the most beautiful scenery. absolutely breathtaking!!! highly recommend this tour to any either just doing the loop back to bergen or departing to oslo.

Everything was just superb. Erika was an excellent guide...the best Norwegian guide that I have experienced so far for my 10 day trip! Only feedback is the cost was a bit steep and the train ride to Oslo was tiring! 😀

Amazing ! Michael is the best guide ever! Worry free tour, even for 5 people with luggage. You get to see every aspect of a Fjord - by car, by boat , by train. Flam is a beautiful town. The train ride beautiful!
