Changdeokgung & Rear Garden is unique & remarkable palace architecture with comfortable and relaxed residential environment, embracing of huge beautiful garden and nature, listed by UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Changdeokgung was built as 2nd palace of Joseon Dynasty. Rear Garden of Changdeokgung is a remarkable place, where a plain hillside is turned into a beautiful garden. Rear Garden was designed to embrace nature. After the waterway was made along the hill, a pavilion was built where the waters stayed. The original topography of the area is preserved, and trees, hills, valleys and streams are preserved. Pavilions are in prefect harmony with the surrounding natural landscape. Rear Garden of Changdeokgung is classic example of a traditional Korean garden reflecting Confucian idea, that is life with nature.
