This was a great way to view the Amalfi coast with stops at Amalfi and Positano. The weather was hot and sunny and on the boat there was inside shade as well as sunny upper and lower deck. 3 hours in Amalfi and one hour in Positano were about the right timings on a trip like this. The toilet on the boat was filthy as were the toilets in the cafes most places in Italy so best not to go if you can help it!!!

Full description

Visit the Amalfi Coast on a day trip from Naples. Take in Sorrento from the sea. Visit Amalfi and Positano, with the option of exploring Ravello too. Admire incredible scenery worthy of a UNESCO World Heritage listing.


From the convenient meeting point in Naples, you will transfer to the port of Torre del Greco. From there, set sail to Sorrento, enjoying the amazing Mount Vesuvius in the background and learning about its tragic history from your expert guide.


Admire the beauty of the Sorrento coastline: the panoramic terraces overhanging the sea, the Baths of Queen Giovanna, the Bay of Jeranto, and the Protected Sea Area of Punta Campanella.

When you arrive at Amalfi, you will have free time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its picturesque views, romantic landscapes, and the cathedral of Saint Andrew.


Depending on the option chosen, you can also visit Ravello, a resort town, where you will have free time to see the Villa Rufolo and its serene garden, which offers a breathtaking panorama over the entire Gulf of Salerno.

Then you will depart for Positano, the pearl of the Amalfi Coast, famous for its narrow streets, small shops, and colorful pottery. You will have some free time here to explore before relaxing on board for the journey back to Naples.

  • Pickup service is available from established meeting points in Naples and surrounding cities. In case of unspecified accommodation details, the pickup will be in Naples at 7:40 AM at the entrance of the Star Hotel Terminus(if selected the option from Naples) and at 8:15 am at the entrance of Ercolano Scavi Circumvesuviana Train Station (if chosen the option from Portici, Ercolano and Torre del Greco) Please provide your accommodation details to establish the meeting point. You will be contacted 24 hours before the travel date with more information regarding the meeting point and pickup time.
  • The timing may change due to adverse sea conditions or traffic on the way to Ravello
  • If you choose the tour option, without Ravello Visit, the free time in Amalfi will be of 3.5 hours
  • If you choose the tour option, with Ravello visit, the free time will be 1 hour in Ravello and 1 hour in Amalfi
  • In Positano, the free time will be 1 hour
