the bus was large and had well functioning AC. the guide was accompanying us to Kehlsteinhaus and explaining the logistics. we had enough time at the locations. unfortunately a lot was stolen and destroyed by the invading forces. Berghof itself (which probably was not advertised because of this) just has a few walls remaining.

Those who wish to may take the exceptional bus service and exciting underground elevator to visit the Eagle's Nest, where the remains of Hitler's holiday residence are to be seen. 
On wintry days, when snow and ice cover the higher peaks, visit the famous salt mines of Berchtesgaden instead to learn about this particularly fascinating chapter in the area's history.
