After pick-up in the morning from your hotel in Thessaloniki, head to the base of the Mount Olympus protected National Park. Safety brief and lesson by your instructors. Select your equipment and get ready for the mountain, before you head out. Take a short hike up to the canyon entrance and have a practical lesson on jumping, sliding and abseiling technique to get to know your equipment. Once you are ready, the day is all about having fun in the water with jumping, sliding, swimming in pools and abseiling on ropes. No experience is required as the routes have been selected to offer you a safe and fun environment suitable for all ages.

Be one with nature on this trip from Athens to Mount Olympus. Board a train to Katerini and see ancient and historical sites such as the site of Dion, the Platamon Castle, and the Bath of Zeus. Start your day by taking the morning train from Athens to Katerini. Be immersed in a scenic trip through mainland Greece and then meet your guide at the Litochoro station. Head over to the archaeological site of Dion where you will see where the ancient Greeks worshipped the gods of Olympus. Then, go back in time as you visit the grounds of the medieval Platamon Castle and marvel at the magnificent view of the Aegean Sea. Departing at 8:00AM, pass by the unique landscape as it alternates between mountains and sea. The route crosses by the foot of the mythical Mt Olympus, where in ancient times it was believed to be the residence of the 12 Gods. Next, it leads you to Palaeofarsalos train station. There you have to change trains and wait for 1 hour until you board the train that leads to Kalampaka. Here in the greater surrounding area, lies the home of the ancient tribe of Mirmidones, a group of legendary ancient warriors who had the mythical Achilles as their leader, who played an important role in the outcome of the Trojan War. In Kalambaka, arrive at approximately 12:05 PM. A guide will be there holding a signboard to welcome you and start the tour. After which, you will on-board on a luxury mini-bus drive, sit, relax and enjoy the unique landscape. Begin your tour of the Meteora monasteries. Admire the amazing Christian architecture, and discover how monasteries have been influenced over time, having existed for over 700 years. Ask the specialized guide plenty of questions and take photos at fantastic viewpoints. After the tour ends you will be transferred to Kalabaka's city center where you will have over an hour to spend under the shadow of giant rocks either having lunch or a coffee. You will get all the necessary information on how to get to the train station, which is around 5 minutes walk from the city center. You must be at the train station no later than 6:20 PM in order to catch the train back to Thessaloniki.

We depart early on Saturday morning from Thessaloniki to Litochoro. After picking up the participants from other cities we start for the Gorcia forest location (35′). From there we start the ascent, following the route: Gortia – Petrostruga refuge – Museon Plateau. We spend the night in the refuge of the plateau "Giosos Apostolidis". The refuge has a kitchen that can offer a basic but very tasty (!!!) menu. The ascent to Mytikas (2,918m) is optional, planned for Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning, if the weather conditions allow it and for those whose physical condition allows it. The last part of the ascent to Mytikas is accompanied by the group of the mountain guide and/or the climbing instructor and we use climbing equipment (helmet, belay, rope). Those who do not wish to attempt the ascent to Mytikas can choose a visit to the nearby peak of Profitis Ilias, a walk to the shelter of Kakkalos or relax on the tallest balcony in Greece! On our return we follow the route Muses’ Plateau – Zonaria – shelter of Spilios Agapitos – Prionia. Then the bus will pick us up and we will return to Thessaloniki, making the 3 same stops as our departure (One Salonica Outlet Mall, City Center (Galerius Arch) and Kalamaria (Chilis 12). This activity requires very good physical condition and is not recommended to people with myosceletical problems or fear of heights & acrophobia. Embark on a full-day Mount Olympus and Dion day trip from Thessaloniki by train and discover the ancient site of Dion, the Castle of Platamon, and many more along the way. Take a step back in time and explore the culture and history surrounding Mount Olympus. Board the train in Thessaloniki and begin your journey to Olympus. Make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure in order to find your train and seat. The first stop on your all-day Olympus trip is the archaeological site of Dion. Coined the holy city of the ancient Macedonians, the site of Dion hosts statues of the ancient city as well as an impressive museum where you can observe all the ancient findings from Dion and Pieria. Next, visit the Castle of Platamon. This Crusader castle was built between 1204 and 1222 on a strategic position overlooking the valley of Tempe where the main road connects Macedonia with Thessaly and southern Greece. Explore this medieval fortress before heading to Olympus. Upon arriving at Mount Olympus, take a short hike to the gorge of Enipeas. Observe the bathtub of Zeus with its accompanying waterfall and take in all nature has to offer in this alluring scenery. The final stop on this Olympus all-day tour is the village of Litochoro. Built right at the foothills of Mount Olympus, Litochoro is a traditional Macedonian village surrounded by lush greenery. Here, you will have some time to eat at a local tavern or to explore this historic town. Once your Olympus and Dion trip comes to an end, drive to the city of Katerini where you will board the train back to Thessaloniki.

You will first visit Dion's museum, home to many archaeological findings of the 12 Gods of Ancient Greece.The museum consists of 3 floors and is divided into units representing the regions where the ruins were found. Continue up towards Prionia, where you'll discover a mountain shelter and, according to ancient Greek religion and mythology the actual home of the 12 Olympian gods of Ancient Greek world.From there, you will visit the picturesque village of Litochoro, in the foothills of Mount Olympus where we'll make a stop for you to enjoy the trandition by walking in the village,enjoy a fresh Lunch and maybe shop at the local shops! Every year thousands of nature lovers visit Mount Olympus  to admire the charm of its surroundings. Mt.Olympus, mythical home of the ancient Greek Gods! Its 52 peaks in total are snow-capped for almost 8 months of the year and often remain hidden in the clouds the rest of the time.
