Join our Nevado de Toluca Hike! Your adventure begins early in the morning as we pick you up and journey to one of the most visited national parks in Mexico. As we travel, gaze out at the views that unfold along the way, setting the stage for a day of exploration and connection with nature.
Upon arrival at Campamento Nevado de Toluca, we’ll set off on an epic trail hike. Prepare to ascend to the crater, circling the beautiful Laguna de la Luna and Laguna del Sol.
Following our descent, we’ll retreat to a local hotel. Here, you can unwind in the warmth of a traditional temazcal, an ancient steam bath that rejuvenates the body and soul.

- PHYSICAL CONDITION: This tour involves a decent amount of hiking and walking. Therefore, travelers should have moderate physical fitness conditions.
- ACLIMATIZATION: Nevado de Toluca is 4,680 m high (vs. Mexico City with ~2,300 m) with 538 m elevation gain on the trail that we are going to take, so for travelers coming from lower altitudes, it’s recommended to take at least 1-2 days in Mexico City upon arrival for adaptation to avoid altitude sickness.
- AGE: Due to the required physical condition, the recommended age of participants in this tour is 12-69 years. However, potential participants outside of the above-mentioned age group can still participate upon request if (1) they are in good physical condition (2) that will allow them to cope with the pace of the group tour.
