A wonderful day of discovery with Takis and Nikos, our driver. The Melidoni caves are magnificent. We quickly explored them, but they are definitely worth seeing. Even if they are not quite as impressive as the Cuevas de los Verdes in Lanzarote, for example! The view is breathtaking. Then we took an informative tour of the ceramics and pottery factory in Margarites. Bravo for the skill and kindness of the local fairy. Finally, the magic of the monastery of Arcadi. Superb atmosphere despite the tourists. We stopped at the restaurant opposite, then returned through the landscapes of Amari with a photo stop at the dam lake. A half-day (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) that I highly recommend.

We had a great experience visiting melidoni caves and the monastery, so many interesting things for us to see, we didn’t want the trip to end. The trip we took was a half day, but by the time we arrived back at the drop off point it felt like a full day which wasn’t a fault at all. Our tour guide Taki was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the places we were visiting. We had such a great time
