Full description

Explore the beautiful Comino Island and the surroundings on a day tour by boat. Discover the Ahrax Cave, Santa Maria Cave, and other famous sights before swimming or snorkeling in the clear waters of the Blue Lagoon.
You will depart from St. Paul's Bay and begin your cruise along the northern coast of Malta. Pass by all of the sights including St. Paul's Islands and the statue of St. Paul's, and Ahrax Point. Continue cruising through the north channel of Comino as you pass by the elephants' head, Santa Maria Bay, St. Nicholas Bay, and the Comino hotel.
Make quick stops to enter both Ahrax Cave and Santa Maria Cave. Throughout the journey, Captain Kevin will inform you about the sites and give you information regarding Malta. After approximately 1 hour, arrive on Comino island in the famous Blue Lagoon. The boat will moor up and you can enjoy a stop of 4.5 hours.

During the journey, feel free to use all the facilities on board the boat or get off and explore the island. Relax and sunbathe on the top deck or find some shade on the main deck. Take a refreshing plunge into the cool, crystal-clear water. 
Take advantage of male and female toilet facilities, lockers, and the cafeteria which serves hot and cold beverages. At the end of your time in Comino, head off to the island of Gozo without stopping. 
Cruise around the Mgarr Harbour and see more important sites from the boat.
Return to Malta via the south channel of Comino, passing by Crystal Lagoon and its caves and St. Mary's tower.

IMPORTANT: • our address: Hornblower Cruises Malta, Sirens Quay 24, Triq San Geraldu, St Pauls Bay. We are situated right behind LOA restaurant. • Look for a big white and blue boat with Hornblower written in red on the side located right behind Loa Restaurant. Try to be at the boat at least 45 minutes to an hour before to avoid any added stress • If you are traveling by local bus there are three bus stops within walking distance called Parades, Bandieri, and Toni. See which one is closer for you • If you are traveling by car, parking spaces are available on the road free of charge in the white boxes. There is also a little parking area by the stop • If you are traveling by taxi, please make sure the driver has the correct address

  • Important:
  • Effective 19th May 2025, Maltese authorities have introduced a requirement for all visitors to the Blue Lagoon to present a QR code indicating their designated time slot. To obtain your free access pass, please visit blcomino.com for full details.
  • Our scheduled stop at the Blue Lagoon will be from 11:00 to 15:20. You would need both morning and afternoon slots.
  • - The boat moors up in a secluded non-crowded area in the Blue Lagoon which is 3 meters deep
  • - If you have swimming difficulties, you can enter the water from the beach or use the buoyancy aid available on the boat (available for a €10 deposit)
  • To take part in the optional speedboat ride around the small caves near Comino Island, bring €15 in cash to be paid on site

We really enjoyed our boat trip. The staff were friendly, it was informative and we loved having a close up view of the cage. The speedboat ride (additional paid add on) was so much fun, which such a great guide. The Blue Lagoon is a must see and actually more enjoyable to be on a boat that stays as your base, than one of the taxis that just drops you off - as it gets busy!
