Luxor: Hot Air Balloon Ride with Full-Day Sights Tour

We had an awesome time! Everything was well organized and ran smoothly. The hot air balloon ride was a real highlight — it would’ve been even cooler catching the sunrise, but our “pilot” kept it super fun with jokes and extra facts. Our guide, Bagdadi, was alright — he tried to keep the mood light, made some jokes, and gave us a bit of free time too. The day was pretty packed and honestly a bit tiring — not just because of the early start but because we squeezed in a lot. Some “optional” stops like Luxor Temple didn’t really feel optional. The best part was definitely the people — huge shoutout to Sito and the two girls with her, plus Thomas and Franziska! At the end, we jumped on a $10 boat ride to Banana Island (food available on the boat too), and it was the perfect way to chill after a busy day. This was a very well-organized and managed tour with excellent communication. We were picked up early in the morning (5AM) for the most incredible hot air balloon ride. You peacefully soar over the sights of Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings and other monuments. Do be aware that the flames of the hot air balloon are extremely hot. Next, we visited so many of Luxor’s highlights. We only had one day in Luxor and worried that the itinerary would be ambitious, given all the sites. However, we found that we had plenty of time at each site, and our guide was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories and recommendations at each place. The weather was very hot (110 degrees), but it wasn’t too bad. There’s plenty of opportunities for cold drinks and snacks at each site, and you even go to an air-conditioned rock carving store with a complimentary cup of Egyptian hibiscus tea. Do be aware that no entry tickets are included so that adds onto the cost. Well-worth the booking!
