Full description

Discover ancient Egypt on a 7-cruise down the Nile from Luxor. See the Valley of the Kings, explore Edfu Temple, and marvel at the Temple of Isis.
Day 1: LuxorAfter getting picked up from Luxor International Airport or your hotel, board your motor boat and travel downstream to the West Bank. Here, see the Colossi of Memnon, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Carter House, where you can admire treasures belonging to Tutankhamun.
Spend the night on your ship, cruising down the Nile.
Day 2: LuxorRise before sunrise and enjoy the experience of a lifetime as you take a hot air balloon ride over the city. Watch as the sunlight illuminates the city and its surroundings before heading back to the boat.
Sail through ancient villages and beautiful islands and discover true Egyptian culture. Arrive at Esna in the evening.

Day 3: Edfu - Kom OmboArrive in the city of Edfu in the morning and enjoy a traditional horse and carriage ride to Edfu temple, the largest Ptolemaic temple in Egypt.  

In the afternoon, travel to Kom Ombo, enjoying a refreshing drink on the boat’s sun deck as you cruise. In Kom Ombo, visit the city’s unique temple, dedicated to two gods, and discover the contrasting architecture of both sides.

Day 4: AswanCruise to Aswan, a city famous for its Nubian culture. After breakfast, head to the Temple of Isis on Philae Island and visit the High Dam, which provides electricity to the residents of the Nile. Later, enjoy some free time if you want to discover the city and its ancient market by yourself.

Day 5: Abu SimbelArrive at the ancient wonder of Abu Simbel in the morning and spend the day exploring this historic temple complex.

Day 6: AswanBegin the sailing journey back to Luxor. As you sail, take stunning photos of the Nubian islands and villages that you pass.
Day 7: CruisingSpend the day relaxing on the ship as you sail down the Nile. Sleep overnight on the boat.

Day 8: LuxorAfter breakfast, enjoy a tour of the East Bank of Luxor. Visit the Karnak temple, the biggest temple complex in the world, as well as the beautiful Luxor temple. At the end of your tour, get dropped off back at your accommodation or at the airport in Luxor.

We booked an 8 day cruise, which is essentially the same as the 5 days cruise from Luxor to Aswan albeit you stay on the boat and cruise back. Although our Guide Adel arranged additional tours for us on return to Luxor. We managed to fit in additional trips such as the Nubian village for extra costs too, which was well worth it. We spent about the right time in each location. The boat was clean and staff attentive. Food is decent quality, although variations of the some things so gets a bit repetitive. There's entertainment in the evenings such as bellydancing, Nubian dancers etc. There were some extremely early 4AM starts, for the ballooning and Abu Simbel but the sunrise views are worth it. Otherwise most tours started at 0730, this did mean we beat the crowds to some temples though. The collection too and from the boat was pretty smooth and someone was waiting for us at Luxor. There were some negative points, but all in all was good value for money, and a good experience.

The boat was old, décor frayed, dusty and dirty. The worst of the boats we saw as we walked through other boats moored alongside. That made it quite noisy, some fumes. The food was good, staff were amazing, kind, helpful and cheerful. The beds were comfortable. It was good value. The WiFi was expensive and abysmal. All fellow travellers had the same complaint about not being able to get any details about the boat and itinerary beforehand. We booked 7 nights but the last 3 days we had no tours as the boat had picked up new passengers and repeating the same stops. The whole trip could have been better organised, a lot of time was wasted picking people up from other boats to do the same tours everyone was doing? Some of the timings involved unnecessarily early starts to then wait until places opened? Or delays meaning parts had to be missed. It was odd to me that all the boats moved at the same time meaning the places we went to were always crowded?

The service is impeccable. The buffet is excellent and very varied. The boat is not recent but it gives it a certain cachet. The staff are very helpful and attentive. A great experience!!!
