At Fräkmüntegg you will also change into the aerial cableway "Dragon Ride" and after an exhilarating 5-minute ride you will reach the top of Pilatus Kulm. Thanks to its spacious interior, cockpit-like design and large windows the Dragon Ride gives you the impression of being in a helicopter. Start your tour at the beautiful Torbogen Luzern railway station dating back to the 19th century. As we walk, we will first step on the bridge known as Spreuer bridge which is one of the two surviving wooden bridges in Lucerne. One of the most striking features of this bridge are the paintings done by Caspar Meglinger between 1625 and 1635 known as Danse Macabre. As we continue, you will walk by the park with beautiful lake views known as the Promenade. You will then visit the Hofkirche (Church of Saint Leodegar), a very picturesque location. The architecture of this building is a blend of Renaissance and Gothic styles. Here, you will see impressive artwork such as the murals. As we move on, you will see the Bourbaki Panorama, a painting which depicts the retreat of the French army. Next, you will see the controversial Lion Monument which is dedicated to Swiss soldiers who died during the French revolution.
