My daughter had arranged the cooking class as a surprise on a birthday trip to Ljubljana. I was expecting a fun activity but the time we had with Luka was even more interesting and enjoyable than I anticipated. Each step of the process was very clearly explained which allowed us to feel like accomplished bakers! As we waited for the yeast to prove, the dough to rise and our Pogača to bake, Luka shared some Slovenian wine with us along with a lot of information on Slovenia, its history and the landscape. He was a very warm and welcoming host, with excellent English so we could converse extensively on a range of topics which added a whole other dimension to the experience. As an added bonus, our Pogača looked good and tasted delicious. We would highly recommend this class.
I just finished the Belokranjska Pogača baking class. It was just me, so a private class. Luka was a great host. He not only explained how to do the Belokranjska Pogača but he also explained a lot about the country and people. The location is easy to get to from the city centre (bus), it's light and nice. I had a great time. And the bread is soooo good. Drinks were offered. Can really recommend the backing class.

Meeting point
Once you are in the area search for a small square surrounded by buildings, there is a broken concrete fountain in the middle of it. You either need to pass a chinese restaurant, near the old church, or go trough a small passageway in the building, near the bus stop. The shop is recognisable by the big clear window. For parking in the afternoon call Luka and he will help you (he has whatsapp), in the morning free parking spots can be found on the platform behind the building.
