Great trip despite the bad weather. Diogo is a fun and knowledge guide for Portugal history. Some great recommendations from him for food and sweets. I probably want more time in Cabo than Cascais. Overall, a day well spent even it rained 50% of the time.
“Diogo, our articulate and humorous tour guide, delivered an incredibly colorful tour. A history fanatic, he passionately shared stories about the history of Portugal’s monarchy and gave us a great flavor of the modern-day Portuguese culture and people . We explored Pena Palace and its unique blend of 19th-century architectural styles, visited the charming town of Sintra, where we savored a lunch of garlic shrimp and sangria, stopped at Cabo da Roca, the furthest western point of the European continent and then finished our tour in cosmopolitan Cascais, which boasts fashionable boutiques, cool cafes, and a beautiful beach.”
