Lion and Safari Park

On this half-day tour, your tour guide will collect you from your accommodations in Johannesburg and take the Lion Park, a natural habitat located not far outside of Johannesburg.  Upon arrival at the Lion Park, you will enjoy 1-hour open vehicle safari drive where you will have the opportunity to view these wonderful animals up close and personal. You will then be driven back to your accommodations in Johannesburg.

Hop into a game truck and ride around the park to observe the animals. Drive by the antelope area to watch these animals walking around. Go to the lion enclosures and see the cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards. Hear facts about the animals from your guide. Buy lunch and souvenirs when you finish. Come directly to the safari park to start your tour. Meet your guide and hop into the game truck to explore the different areas of the park. Visit the antelope safari area, and then check out the lion enclosures. Pass by the cheetah and wild dog enclosures too. Listen to commentary from your guide. Take some photos during the drive. Feel free to buy lunch in the restaurant after your safari ride. Have a drink at the bar as well. Also, buy some souvenirs of your safari to take home with you.

After morning pickup from your accommodation in Johannesburg or Pretoria, you’ll head out to the Lion Park. Your registered tour guide will take you on a tour through the Lion Park, a natural habitat only 45 minutes drive from Johannesburg. The park is home to more than 85 lions, including the rare white lion, among other carnivores like the cheetah, hyena, and wild dog. Afterwards, you’ll head in to Pretoria for a city tour. The capital of South Africa, Pretoria is home to a bevy of historic sites. Visit the Union Buildings, headquarters of the South African government, and wander through the beautifully terraced gardens. Then it’s off to the Voortrekker Monument, which commemorates the Great Trek, a mass movement of Afrikaner Boers who resented British rule. Next on the itinerary is the Paul Kruger House Museum, which showcases artifacts related to Paul Kruger, the 3rd president of South Africa from 1883-1900. Before the tour ends, you’ll view some of the architectural standouts of the city, like the Ou Raadsaal, Palace of Justice, and Capital Theater. Afterwards, you’ll be driven back to your accommodation, having seen the urban and rural highlights of a vibrant capital city.

Lion and safari park is about an hours drive from Johannesburg,situated North West of Johannesburg. The park is home to three prides of Lions including the rare white lions and other Carnivores,such as Cheetahs and Wild dogs, Hyenas and Leopards. Guests are guaranteed to get extremely close to Africa's most exciting animals. A variety of Antelopes indigenous to Africa are also found.Herbivores are roaming freely in the park:Zebra, Giraffe etc. The knowledgeable tourguide will take you through predator's enclosures, in a safari vehicle. During the tour you may have the opportunity to see the herbivores. The game drive takes about 2 hours. Allocated time include travelling time. Get a big day out with a great tour from Johannesburg. We get to visit the Lion Park and also, we get a chance to do the Elephant and Monkey sanctuary all in one day. Our Tour will begin in Johannesburg where we will head to the Lion Park and do a 2-hour Safari at the Lion Park which is located just 40 minutes off Sandton Hotels. After the Lion Park tour, we will head to the Elephant and Monkey Sanctuary and get to visit this tourist attraction. A 2-hour Elephant tour awaits us and also a 1-hour Monkey tour is also on the cards. We will get a lot in one day and get to learn a lot and lots and lots of wildlife. Our tour will start at around 8.00 am with pick up from your establishment and end around 5 pm when we drop you back at your pickup point.
