The trails with the most spectacular vistas are on the summit of Mount Teide (3,718 meters) and they can be reached from the La Rambleta starting point (accessible by cable car) followed by trail number 10.  Without a doubt the most popular trail is the one leading to the volcano's peak, but there are limits on how many people can visit that area of Teide. Take part in a guided abseiling adventure in the Los Arcos canyon in Tenerife. Learn a new skill as you contemplate the immense geological formations that surround you in the canyon. Learn about the geological history of the canyon from your local guide. Meet your guide at the car park, he will drive you each in your car to the access point about 5 minutes from the meeting point. Then take a 45 minute approach route on foot, then put on your helmet and harness, we will do a short training workshop before we start descending the walls by rope. The highest wall is approximately 20 metres. See and learn about the endemic flora from your local guide. When you reach the first abseil, the fun begins. Rope down several walls - each very different from the next - all made of volcanic ash. Along the way, be amazed by the surrounding landscape, including Los Arcos, which were formed by the erosion of the water that passed through them many years ago. Once at the last abseil, take another short walk back to the meeting point, which takes about 35 minutes. The area around the gorge was damaged by a large fire in the summer of 2023. Nature is slowly regenerating and we will have to cross some of the affected areas on foot during the approach.

Try something new and spend an active day outdoors on this canyoning excursion to La Arcos from Tenerife. Gear up in canyoning gear, then prepare to rappel down the orange canyon walls, take in the fresh air, and get unbeatable views of the landscape. The approach to this dry canyon begins on a forest track with a gentle slope, where you’ll walk for about 45 minutes. The start of your descent begins with the first rappel of about 22 meters. From here, you can begin to observe how the accumulation of volcanic ash and the erosion produced by the passing of time has naturally come together and formed this unique canyon. The light playing against the moss-covered orange walls and creating various shades will undoubtedly be the main attraction during the entire descent. After finishing 8 rappels, arrive at the Chimoche track to conclude your descent. Finish off your trip by making your way back to the starting point on an approximately 30-minute walk.
