Our day trip to Abruzzo was beyond expectations. Fabio, the guide, is as good as it gets. He is kind, funny, listens well, and is full of information. It is obvious that he knows & loves the area of Abruzzo and has passion for showing more people how wonderful the area is. If you’re wondering how amazing he is, visit his site, QUA travel. During our trip, we visited an area with breathtaking views, ate lunch at the most incredible place, stopped by a castle, and explored the cutest town in Italy. We spent a few days in Rome and this day was by far the highlight of our time. I can’t recommend this trip, and Fabio, more. If you’re looking to escape the heat of Rome and have the best day ever, this is for you.

Abruzzo took me by surprise. No big crowds, no overhyped attractions, and that’s exactly what makes it special. From the wide, dramatic landscapes of Campo Imperatore to the peaceful stone streets of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, every stop felt authentic and untouched. Rocca Calascio was a real highlight, standing there above the clouds was something I won’t forget. The food was incredible, simple and rich in flavor, and everything felt deeply connected to the land. But what made the biggest difference was the guide, passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. If you're looking for a different side of Italy, one that feels real and quietly beautiful, Abruzzo is it.

This tour was absolutely fantastic! We chose it mainly to escape the unbearable heat of Rome (over 100°F), but what we discovered was so much more than just cooler temperatures...it turned out to be the most memorable experience of our entire trip to Italy! Every moment felt special. Unlike Rome, we weren’t surrounded by tourist crowds, and the places we visited were even more beautiful than in the photos... truly beyond words!

Abruzzo was such a surprise. No crowds, just beautiful landscapes, great food, and incredibly kind people. It felt real, not touristy at all. We ate and drank like locals and felt truly welcomed everywhere we went. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy.

The pace was relaxed, the stories were fascinating, and we had the chance to truly connect with the local culture of Abruzzo. Fabio is the best guide we’ve had in all our years of traveling.
