This trip was incredibly respectful, heart felt, thought provoking, peaceful in noise, busy in people, but you kept to your groups. I had no idea the vast space it actually on. The coach transport was great, I personally felt this was a day trip in itself, there are some tours that include the salt mine too, I would highly recommend if the have the opportunity to do both definitely, but on separate days. Great tour is perhaps not the correct wording to use, for such a place, but the whole trip is incredibly moving, and will stay with me a long time.

Visit Aushwitz Birkenau with a guidebook or professional guide. Witness the largest camp built on Polish soil by the Nazis that served as a concentration camp and an extermination camp.


Get picked up in Krakow and travel to Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. After arriving at the museum, collect an admission ticket with the help of your tour leader. Then start your self-guided tour with informative brochure in language chosen.

After visiting the first part - Auschwitz, continue to the second camp at Birkenau, where the mass killings took place.

Amazing experience doing this tour to get in depth in the awfulness of WWII. Although it was a sad tour, our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable, even though it was a self guided tour, it was very great to hear the tips on where to go. Expect the tour to change in pick up time so leave the full day to it.
