Begin your maritime journey with a visit to Our Lady of the Rocks, a church perched on an artificially crafted island. Uncover the tale of the two brothers who discovered a Madonna and Child painting, leading to the construction of the church on the very spot where the painting was found.

Navigate through the picturesque Verige Straits along the Herceg Novi Rivera, and sail beyond the bay to catch sight of Mamula Island, a historic WWII-era prison. Trace the coastline of the Lustica Peninsula to reach the enchanting Blue Cave, where you can relish the opportunity to swim in its crystal-clear waters.

On the return trip to Kotor, explore the caves once utilized for concealing submarines by the army. This boat tour promises a blend of natural wonders, historical narratives, and the chance to experience the captivating aquatic beauty of Boka Bay.

Meeting point

Once you leave the ship and go through security, go left. When you reach the small bridge, turn left again towards the park. You'll see an information desk by the sea. Our skipper and our friend Sara will be there to welcome you. Please be at the meeting spot at least 30 minutes early. If you miss the tour, you can join the next available slot as agreed with the operator. If you’re arriving by car, we recommend allowing extra time for your journey. Heavy traffic is expected around the park — which is also your tour’s starting point — along with delays caused by ongoing roadworks on the main road.

Know before you go

  • In certain situations, such as challenging weather conditions or high sea waves, the tour itinerary may need to be adjusted and the visit to the Blue Cave may have to be skipped. This is done to ensure the safety and comfort of guests on the tour
  • In April, May, September, and October, the church of Our Lady of the Rocks and the museum are open until 5 pm, but you can still visit the island. In June it is open until 6 pm, and in July and August it is open until 7 pm. Sometimes they close it earlier.
  • The Blue Cave water after 6 pm is not the same as it is during daylight
  • It is recommended that you dress warmer during the spring and autumn months because it can be chilly
  • The tour could be canceled if weather is unfavorable
  • Please be aware that finding a parking spot in Kotor during the summer season can be quite challenging
  • For the visit to the church, there is a dress code, and you cannot enter in a swimsuit
  • Note: Skip the line does not apply for entrance to Our Lady of the Rocks
