I booked a tour from Dhulikhel to Namobuddha day hike. I was the only person who sing for this book. They informed me a day before tour that it is not include hike but they organised it in same price which i was really glad. Prakash was my guied. He came with his daughter. He is helpful and friendly and make my day comfortable. It was wonderful hike with gorgeous scenery of Himalayas. Don't hesitate to book with this folkšŸ˜ŠšŸ™

Dhulikhel to NamoBuddha: A Himalayan Escape

Your journey begins with a scenic hour-long drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel, a charming hill station. Upon arrival, you'll have time to explore the area, soaking in the serene atmosphere and panoramic views.

From Dhulikhel, embark on a picturesque hike towards Namobuddha. The trail leads you through the thousand steps!, past the sacred Kali Temple, and through Kavre Bhanjyang. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the valley set against a magnificent mountain backdrop. This part of the journey also offers a unique opportunity to observe the traditional farming methods, rich culture, and lifestyle of the local Newari people.

Namobuddha Monastery: A Spiritual Heart

Upon reaching Namobuddha, you'll delve into a guided tour of the renowned Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery. This significant Tibetan Buddhist monastery, perched atop a hill, holds a profound legend:

It is said that 6,000 years ago, Prince Mahasattva (Ngingdui Tshenpo), while observing the jungle from this very spot, encountered a starving tigress with her five cubs. Recognizing the desperate plight of the tiger family, the prince, in an extraordinary act of love and compassion, offered his own life. He cut his body to provide warm blood to the mother tigress, whose renewed strength allowed her cubs to survive. This selfless act of sacrifice is deeply revered at Namobuddha.

If you choose any hike any guide you must choose this company . I give it 1000 stars. My guide Prakash was on time. He was knowledgeable . Spoke the best English , and very accommodating . We started the day at Bhaktapur early in the morning. There was no crowd . The weather was perfect. Then I choose the zip line . It was my first time to zip line.. it was so amazing . So exciting . We hiked through villages and finally reached namobudda. What an unbelievable experience. It is the guide that makes the experience . If you choose to do some hiking in Nepal ā€¦ there is no question you must choose this tour , and this guide Prakash . He has over 20 years of experience ! Because if Prakash I will come back and hike to Mount Everest one day!
