We did the 10-day circuit that included Kathmandu and a visit to the Kathmandu valley, Chitwan, Pokhara and a short trek. The experience with Himalayan Smile Trek was very good and we really enjoyed the country and the trip. The hotels were very well located and with good quality. Our guide Pramod Pangeni who accompanied us throughout the trip was very professional and at all times pending. We would repeat without any doubt. A very good way to know the country.

Full description

The trip begins with cultural sightseeing of heritage monuments in Kathmandu. On the following days, you experience exciting whitewater rafting in Trishuli River, a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park, and soft trekking/ hiking to Ghandruk village inside the Annapurna conservation area with stunning views of the Himalayan range, mountain people, culture, and lifestyle. It ends with the taste of Nepalese cuisine with a show of folk dances and music.

Nepal Adventure Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Upon arrival in Kathmandu airport. Meet our representative. Transfer to the hotel. Orientation of the tour program. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2
Sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swoyambhunath. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3
Drive to Chitwan National Park. On the way rafting in the Trishuli River. Arrive at Chitwan National Park late afternoon. Briefing of jungle activities by Nature Guide. Evening cultural show of local people. Overnight at a hotel in Chitwan National Park.

Day 4
Full-day jungle activities inside the national park (elephant ride, canoe ride in the Rapti River, jungle walk, bird watching, elephant bathing etc.). Overnight at a hotel in Chitwan National Park.

Day 5
Morning drive to Pokhara. Sightseeing tour of Davis Falls, Shiva cave, and Tibetan Refugee Camp. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 6
Morning drive to Nayapul (1 hr). Start hiking/ trekking to Ghandruk. Overnight at a mountain lodge in Ghandruk.

Day 7
Hiking from Ghandruk to Pothana. Overnight at a mountain lodge in Pothana.

Day 8
Hiking from Pothana to Phedi via Dhampus. Drive back to Pokhara (1/2 hour). Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 9
Morning drive back to Kathmandu (6 hrs). Rest at the hotel. Evening farewell dinner at a typical Nepalese Restaurant with cultural dance and music. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 10
Preparation for your departure. Transfer to Kathmandu International airport for your onward journey.

  • In fact, you don't need to be a mountaineer with rippling muscles to enjoy trekking. If you are reasonably fit, have a spirit of mountain journey and like walking, you are always qualified for any trekking in Nepal. You do not need any previous experience. However, we suggest you some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, and hiking before you embark on a journey.

  • The highway is construction work on the Mugling-Naryanghadi road and Tribhuvan Highway Mugling to Pokhara is also construction work. Now the road is very bumpy, and dusty. It takes a few hours more because of road conditions to each destination.

We had an amazing and easy trip in Nepal because of this tour and the Himalayan Smile company! Each activity was guided by a knowledgeable local and we were given excellent transportation which is invaluable when visiting Nepal. We were able to experience and learn about the tourist attractions while also being immersed in local culture. One of our favorite parts of the tour was spotting animals in Chitwan National Park, our guide was very kind and was able to spot all types of animals. We also did the Ghandrok trek with our guide, Dharma. He was so kind and energetic, always checking that we were doing okay and even carrying my backpack at times. He made the trek very enjoyable! Nepal is a beautiful country and it’s people are some of the nicest there are. If you visit Nepal, we highly recommend this tour so that you can see the city, lowlands, and mountains and be taken good care of each step of the way :)
