Go to Seal Bay Conservation Park for a beach walk with an experienced guide. Spend time amongst a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Get up close to the wild creatures as they frolic and laze about. Then, enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch.  Spend the afternoon at Flinders Chase National Park, renowned as a sanctuary for native Australian animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, and echidnas. Admire the rugged coastline on walks around Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks. Stroll down the Admirals Arch boardwalk to a rugged cliff face that reveals the spectacular rock arch formation, a safe haven for playful long-nosed fur seals. Keep a lookout for more kangaroos and wallabies on your return to Penneshaw or your return ferry back to Adelaide. Arrive at approximately 22:40 and be dropped off at your selected Adelaide CBD accommodation.

Have the opportunity to swim with wild dolphins or among seals and snorkel some of Kangaroo Island's stunning coastline. Enjoy an amazing wildlife encounter on an action-packed boat tour. Arrive at The Visitor Information Centre in Penneshaw, where you will be fitted into a wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers and provided with a safety brief. Jump on board the vessel in search of the marine life that inhabits the incredible coastline. Spot the cheeky seals lounging on the rocks and playing in the water. Then, it's time to dive in. These curious seals can be quite interactive and playful and provide a fun snorkelling experience. Search for the dolphin pods that reside in these coastal waters and take the opportunity to swim alongside them in the wild. A truly unforgettable wildlife encounter. Your guide will also provide informative commentary along the way. PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE WILD ANIMALS. Day 1: Today, an early start is required to catch your 6.45am SeaLink bus transfer from Adelaide CBD to the ferry terminal at Cape Jervis. Board the ferry for a 45-minute cruise to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Your Untamed Escapes Guide will meet you here. Take a scenic drive to Pennington Bay and climb the 500 steps to the top of Prospect Hill. Pop into a honey farm to learn all about these fascinating creatures and, of course, do a tasting and visit family-owned Dudley Wines. Come late afternoon, arrive at our eco-campsite, featuring private access to one of Kangaroo Island’s most stunning beaches – Antechamber Bay. Roll out your swag underneath the billions of stars of the Milky Way and feel an incredible connection with nature. Today we drive approximately 240 km. Day 2: After breakfast, it's time for an incredible wildlife encounter. Seal Bay is home to the third-largest colony of endangered Australian sea lions, with around 800 calling the bay home. Join a 45-minute tour with the National Parks & Wildlife guides. Follow a boardwalk through the dunes down to the beach, and on the way, pass sea lions snoozing or even lying in the middle of the beach path. Next, we'll set our coordinates for the iconic Flinders Chase National Park, located at the northwestern point of the island. This park is renowned for its rock formations, rugged coastline, and abundant wildlife. At Admirals Arch, wander along a boardwalk as you soak up the serenity and keep your eyes peeled for the resident New Zealand fur seals. After a full day, head back towards camp for some free time to reflect and relax before dinner. Today, we drive approximately 350 km. Day 3: Begin the final day of your tour with a refreshing morning bush walk near camp before packing up and bidding farewell to Happiness. Next, take in the history of South Australia's first lighthouse at Cape Willoughby before travelling to magical Emu Bay for a stroll and a beach clean-up. Today, you have the choice to swim with wild dolphins or seals on a two-hour tour with Kangaroo Island Ocean Safari. This optional experience is a rare opportunity to connect with nature in its purest form, guided by passionate marine experts who ensure a safe, respectful, and awe-inspiring encounter. Whether you're an experienced snorkeller or a first-timer, this is a must-do for wildlife lovers looking to add a splash of adventure to their journey. Those not snorkelling will set off on the Ironstone Hill hike, weaving through regenerating sheoak woodlands and taking in epic coastal views steeped in history. After an incredible Kangaroo Island adventure, we'll arrive in Penneshaw for your 5:30 pm ferry back to the mainland. Once in Cape Jervis, your SeaLink bus connection will have you back in Adelaide by 9:00 pm.

Finish off with some free time in the souvenir shop to buy eucalyptus oil products. Continue to the Clifford’s Honey Farm shop, home of the famous island homemade honey ice-cream. See a working beehive, taste different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey, and sample and buy honey beauty products to take home as a memento. Lastly, take part in a structured wine tasting with peaceful views of the surrounding vineyard at the False Cape Wines cellar, which was built from recycled wood, jetty timbers, and limestone sourced on the property.  End the tour at the Penneshaw Hotel where you have ample time to have dinner (at your own expense) before returning to the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.

Explore local eucalyptus oil and honey producers, enjoy a tasting at a local brewery, spend free time in our largest town and have photo opportunities of original giant artworks and nature locations. A perfect way to learn something of Kangaroo Island life, its history, local culture and unique products that are only found on the island. The first stop is the iconic Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery. Here you can learn about the manufacturing process and history of the eucalyptus distillery via a short DVD. You can also view a large range of local products and produce. Keep a look out for the friendly local kangaroos and the emu’s that give the area their name. Next, stop at the Kangaroo Island Ligurian Bee Co where you can taste and purchase some of the purest honey in the world. Then travel to the township of Kingscote, the largest town on the island and South Australia’s oldest European settlement. You will have one hour to explore the main township, shop at the local gift shops or have lunch in one of the local cafes. As we leave Kingscote past the famous Silo Art which has become a fan favourite. Marvel at the largest kangaroo in Australia and the glossy black cockatoo. Next up is a stop at Kangaroo Island Brewery. Founded in 2015 Kangaroo Island Brewery creates unique craft beers and ciders. You’ll sit back, relax and enjoy a tasting with the option to purchase further drinks. Lastly we stop by Pennington Bay, known for its sweeping panoramic views of wild coast and turquoise waters. A fantastic photo-op stop over. Local informative history is provided whilst you enjoy a return transfer back to Penneshaw.

If you're a true foody, this is the perfect way to make the most of your cruise stop and get to know the island through its diverse culinary offer. After getting picked up from the port, begin with a scenic drive to Pennington Bay. Take in spectacular views of the Penneshaw coastline as you arrive at a stunning beach, where dolphins and whales can often be spotted. Snap some amazing photos and head out on your food journey. Visit Clifford's Honey to learn about the history of the Ligurian Bee on Kangaroo Island and taste the different honey varieties. Move on to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus, where you can learn how a traditional Australian bush product is made at South Australia's only commercial eucalyptus oil distillery. Hear how the distillation process takes place before going over to Emu Bay and the Lavender Farm for morning tea. Stop at Kingscote for some time off to wander around and make your way to Bay of Shoal Wines for a great wine tasting. Finally, visit Kangaroo Island Spirits for some gin, vodka, and liquor tasting, then be driven back to the cruise ship terminal at Penneshaw.

Dip your toes in the sapphire waters of Emu Bay. Keep an eye out for dolphins and seabirds as you relax in this natural paradise. Stokes Bay Voted the best beach in Australia in 2023 Stokes Bay will take your breath away. A hidden gem with calm waters and a sheltered lagoon. The picturesque setting and frequent visits by dolphin pods create a magical experience. Seal Bay Conservation Park Visit Seal Bay to observe Australian sea lions in their natural habitat. Guided by rangers with a wealth of information, you'll be down on the beach with these fabulous creatures as they bask in the sun and play in the surf. Free time in Penneshaw - our last stop and an opportunity to grab a bite to eat before the ferry back to Adelaide, taking with you memories of a truly spectacular Kangaroo Island adventure and new found friends.
