The first time I've ever really seen any amount of snow (Aussie here), it was a beautiful experience! This was my favourite experience in Interlaken. Don't be fooled though - The elliptical machine at the gym will only prepare you so much, this is physically quite challenging for a novice, even if they are in good shape, but totally worth it!
