Lombok: Gili Nanggu, Sudak, & Gili Kedis Private Snorkeling

I loved that we were in a small group. However long we wanted to stay was okay with our guides. When we were out snorkeling, our guide stayed around us and didn’t force us into a time schedule or snorkel spot, but suggested places and then stayed around us watching over us. We felt very pampered. We especially loved our driver Adita. He went out of his way to teach us about Lombok, its culture and its people. He not only drove us safely around, but let us stop off at places we wanted to go on the way back to our cruise ship. He was the best!

Our driver, Bayoe , showed up early at the cruise port to pick us up. It took us about 45 minutes to get off the ship and through immigration. It’s a zoo of drivers waiting right outside of the port exit to try to sell you on a tour for the day, so it is extremely nice to just walk through saying I’m meeting a guide. The first island had amazing snorkeling… we have never seen so many fish in so many colors. The GoPro videos of us surrounded by the fish are incredible! The guides would dive and bring back creatures for us to see. We have a great photo with a purple starfish! The second island was tiny. You could walk all the way around in a couple minutes. Fun tide pools and swimming to cool down. They actually took drone video of us on top of the boat between islands. Lunch on the third island then some more snorkeling. Not as many fish, but great coral structures and larger fish to see Back in plenty of time for the cruise. The guys were fantastic and we loved our trip!
