Hike for hours to Armed, the highest and largest village in the Imlil Valley. Go by the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa, and Imoula on your hike to the Berber village of Ait Souka. Stop on the way at Tamatert, and take in sweeping views of ancient irrigation terraces for barley, corn, and vegetables. Admire cherry orchards and walnut trees before you reach the home of a Berber family in Ait Souka. Sip on a refreshing mint tea while savoring a traditional lunch in the home of a Berber family. Return by going down the other side of the valley through Taourirt and ride the van back to Marrakech at the end of the tour.

The adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Marrakech or the closest accessible point to your accommodation. Head south towards the vast Agafay Desert, admiring the changing landscape along the way as the city gives way to luscious greenery. Arrive at the large village of Imlil located at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, then pass through the incredible Kik Plateau. Next, embark on a 30-minute camel ride and soak up views of the surrounding landscapes. After your ride, enjoy a relaxing tea break and learn about local Berber culture, as well as their traditions, history, and way of life. Pass through several Berber villages on your way to the Amizmiz Valley, then arrive at Tinirt Village where you can have lunch at a traditional Berber house. After lunch, continue the tour to the Great Plain of Haouz, passing through the village of Ouled Mataa which was originally inhabited by Bedouin Arab tribes from the desert. The day ends with a tour of the Agafay Desert, where you can take incredible photos for your holiday album, and marvel at the rugged Moroccan landscape that surrounds you. After an unforgettable day, sit back and relax on the return journey to Marrakesh, arriving back at your accommodation.

Pause in Tamatert to take in the views of ancient irrigated terraced fields, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees.  Feast on a traditional Moroccan meal in Ait Souka at the home of a Berber family. Relax with scenic valley views from a sun-bathed rooftop terrace.  After some rest, board your vehicle and travel through the scenic Kik Plateau, with spectacular 360-degree views. Gaze in awe at the magnificent High Atlas Mountains as you pass through stone desert, barren light brown plateaus, oases, and rolling hills. Enjoy the serene surroundings of the Agafay Desert where you can take an optional camel or horse ride. Or, simply relax with some Moroccan mint tea for the perfect end to your day, before heading back to Marrakech.

Day 1: : Marrakech – Imlil 1740m – Toubkal Refuge 3207m. You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech, and drive towards Imlil valley from where you will start the trek. Once you are met by the local team, you will set off trekking in the valley of Aït Mizane, towards the village of Aremd then the sanctuary of Sidi Chamarouch and the nearby waterfall. Continue on steep paths to the Toubkal refuge, where you will spend the night at a refuge. (5-6 hours of walking) 2 Day 2: Refuge 3207m – Toubkal summit 4167m – refuge 3207m – Imlil 1740m – Marrakech. Start the day early to reach the summit of Jbel Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa. Cross streams and make your way through the rocks. Join the plateau and take a break to enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding area including the plain of Marrakesh and the High Atlas in the north, and the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara to the south Once you reach the summit, gently start the way back to the bottom of the mountain and to Imlil, then to Marrakech. Around 10 to 12h walk + 1h30 drive.

Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa in 2 days. The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakech, and includes transport to and from Imlil. You will trek with a local English-speaking guide, a local cook, and mules to carry your luggage. After the first day spent trekking, you will stay at the refuge where you will spend the night, and enjoy Berber hospitality. After an early breakfast the next day, set off and reach the summit as the sun rises, rewarding you with amazing views. The views from the summit are amazing across the mountains to Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara to the south. Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil 1740m - Tizi Mzik pass 2479m - Red Valley - Tamsoult Refuge 2550m After breakfast in Marrakech, pick up & drive towards the high Atlas Mountains via Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya & Asni, enjoy the stunning view of the villages along the valley . Arrival to Imlil (65km from Marrakech), meet the guide & multeer and then start the trek & climb Tizi Mzik pass (2479m), spectacular view over Imlil valley & Toubkal Summit, continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100m of hight) through juniper forest, Overnight at the Refuge, 5hrs walking. ( Imlil to Tamsoult - 11kms, up 800m and down 400m, 5-6 hours). Day 2: Tamsoult Refuge 2550m - Aguelzim Pass (3650) - Toubkal Refuge 3207m. Today is an intense day, in which we significantly increase the average altitude of the trek. Ahead of us we have the demanding ascent to the Aguelzim pass at 3450 m. The ascent is long but progressive. Once on the pass we will be able to admire the summit of Toubkal. We then descend towards the Toubkal base camp, at 3200 m. Walking time: 6h30. ( Tamsoult to Toubkal Refuge - 10 kms, up 1200m, down 300m, 6 hours ) Day 3: Toubkal Refuge 3207m - Toubkal summit 4167m - Imlil 1740m - Marrakech Up early for the climb up Toubkal (4,167 m) from where, clouds allowing, you will have wonderful views over the Atlas range and the Sahara desert. T hen a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900m up then almost 2,500 m back down to Imlil. You will normally be dropped off at around 5.00 pm in Marrakech. ( Toubkal Refuge to summit - 4 kms, up and down 980m, 5 hours Toubkal Refuge - 4 hours, down 1400m, 5 hours).

On the first day, ride to Imlil from Marrakesh and begin your trek. You'll head along the Ait Mizane Valley, pass through the village of Aremd and onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. You’ll follow mule tracks into the high rocky cliffs, climbing steadily above the snow line until you reach the Toukbal Refuge. Rest here for the night. On the second day, you’ll follow the southern circle route. The climb itself is not highly strenuous, but scree and altitude changes may make it difficult in parts. Don't worry - there are plenty of views to distract you along the way. When you reach the summit, soak in the 360-degree-view. You'll see the Marrakech Plain and the High Atlas Mountains to the north, all the way to the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in the south.  From the peak, you’ll head back down the mountain and return to Marrakesh via Imill.

Embark on a popular and moderate day hike just outside of Marrakesh, ascending and descending almost 900m. Take in panoramic views of the Imlil and Imnane Valleys from several points along the route. After your early morning pickup from your hotel in the city, sit back and relax on the 64-kilometer ride towards the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive at the village of Imlil (1,740m), the starting point of your hike. Head up the Tamatert Valley to the Tizi n'Tamatert pass (2,280m) via the Berber villages of Ait Souka and Tamatert. From the pass, head into the Moroccan pine forest and pick up a trail that leads to the summit of the mighty Adrar Talamrout (2,600m). At the summit of Adrar Talamrout, take your time to marvel at the view of the Imenane Valley and the Berber villages of Amskere and Ikkiss sprawling beneath you, before beginning your descent back to Imlil. Enjoy a lunch break on your way down, and a relaxed drop off back in Marrakesh.

Spend the night at this traditional Berber site, meet the locals, and learn about their culture and way of life. Enjoy a delicious and authentic tagine dinner surrounded by the peaceful tranquility of the mountains. After breakfast on day 2, soak up the sunshine that lights up this colorful valley before heading out towards Id Issa village. Spend some time exploring then trek to Tizi Oudid mountain pass walking through Matat village along the way. Arrive at a serene walnut grove and enjoy a relaxing lunch next to the river. Finally, relax on the return journey to Marrakech, with drop-off back at your hotel in the late afternoon.
