Our tour was awesome! It was an intimate and unique experience! Definitely a must do for a trip to Iceland! We also got to stop at a waterfall on the way to the canyon baths. The baths were very relaxing. Our guide knew a lot about Husafell. We had the best guide!!

This tour exceeded all expectations. We were fortunate enough to be the only passengers for our booking time so got the place to ourselves. The baths are a magical experience, perfect for an afternoon soak in the most beautiful landscape. Our guide Anna was incredible; she was emphatically informative, kind and funny. She made the whole experience an 11/10. We would fully recommend this one.

Full description

Led by a knowledgeable local guide in English, this year-round tour begins with a short ride from the Húsafell Activity Centre to the trailhead in the remote Icelandic Highlands.
On this 2-hour tour, we enjoy a relaxed walk among natural wonders not found in many guidebooks, including the spectacular two-tiered waterfall Langifoss. We’ll also learn about Iceland’s renewable energy practices, cross an icy stream of glacial meltwater and see the site to Okjökull, Iceland’s first glacier claimed by climate change.
Note that the route can change due to unforeseen weather circumstances such as snow, ice, mud or water.
The highlight of our excursion is a serene soak in the Húsafell Canyon Baths, a surreal hot spring paradise that has to be seen to be believed. Enjoy an hour of relaxing, recharging and breathing in the pure Icelandic air before heading back to the starting point in Húsafell.

  • The hiking route may change due to unforeseen conditions created by changes in the weather such as snow, ice, mud, or water
  • The canyon baths are a natural chemical-free environment. For this reason, soaps are not provided and not permitted
  • Showers are available for use after soaking in the pools
  • Drinks are available for purchase at the baths
  • Swimwear is available for rent at Husafell Hotel if needed
