Things to do in Holmestrand

One hour from Oslo is where what is considered the world's most important Viking discovery was made: the Oseberg Ship and the Gokstad Ship. Join us on a delightful guided tour, where you'll actively participate, experience, and taste the Viking Age firsthand. Our guide enhances our travel experience in a minibus with stops and activities along the way. The tour starts at the train stations in Holmestrand. (1-hour train ride from Oslo). From there, the minibus goes to the Midgard Viking Centre, Borre National Park, Oseberg Mound, Gokstad Mound, and Vikingodden. New Viking ships are being built in the area, and you will be able to get up close to the ships and the activities surrounding them. *A simple Viking lunch will be served, consisting of soup with fresh bread. There will also be coffee and snacks.
