Private Saigon Morning Exercise-Drink Bird Coffee-City Tour

6:00 am, Depart with your local tour guide and the driver to explore an authentic morning city tour when streets are still empty and somebody is still asleep. Walking through Tao Dan Park to dive into the local culture, the daily routine of the locals when they start the new day. As you stroll through the park, you will have the opportunity to see the residents doing their morning exercises such as Tai Chi, jogging, badminton, playing shuttlecock etc.
When you cross the busy street like an adventure, you can see hundreds of birds in cages. That is the “ Birds Club” coffee shop. This is a charming spot where the locals enjoy their morning coffee while listening to the chirping of birds.
Then having breakfast before experiencing Saigon with the first place is the War Remnant Museum, one of the most famous museums in Vietnam to learn more about the Vietnam War. This is not only a place for thousands of tourists visiting everyday but also a great place for education.
Leave the Museum to go to the former Presidential Palace, also called Independence Palace. It symbolizes Vietnam’s victory, peace, territorial integrity, and a place that has witnessed many ups and downs of history where the liberation tanks overran the main gate, took over the place and set the independence for Vietnamese on 30 Apr 1975.
Next, stroll through the park to visit the iconic Saigon Central Post Office built between 1886 and 1891. Based on the design of French architect Foulhuox, it is the creation of a unique domed ceiling with wrought iron beams and columns reminiscent of industrial architecture.
Although the construction was built over 100 years, Saigon Central Post Office's enduring beauty has not faded over time. It features a distinctive mix of elegant French architecture and artistic Asian elements.
By the way, take a look at “ the heart of the city” Notre- Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon by Jules Bourard Architect since 1880 for community and religious services for the French colonialist.
Walk along Dong Khoi street, formerly la rue Catinat. The street was originally named after the French Warship Catinat that took part in the mid-19th century attacks into Vietnam by the French .The ship itself honored Nicolas Catinat. Now, it is the premiere street in Ho Chi Minh City for luxury hotels, luxury shops, antiques and art galleries, much like it was before the War. One of the most expensive hotels on this street is Hotel Continental Saigon. It was built for VIP guests from the motherland. The Opera House was the House of Parliament during the second Indochina War.
Finish up the day at the historic site, the Ben Thanh Market. It is an important symbol of Saigon in comparison with the Temple of Literature in the North.
