A fabulous tour! We saw so many interesting places, saw how food was made and ate delicious meals. It was well organised and Elio was a fantastic guide. He was very informative, taking us to ancient houses and villages, temples and showing us life on the Mekong Delta. He made the journey a lot of fun and we can’t recommend it highly enough. Accomodation was excellent and the whole tour was full of more experiences than we could have imagined.

Day 1Ho Chi Minh City - Cai Be - Can Tho
7:30 Travel to Cai Be and sail on the Tien River
Be picked up in Ho Chi Minh City, then depart for Cai Be. Upon arrival, take a boat ride and explore the Tien River. Experience the area's diversity and lush orchard gardens, known as the fruit basket of the Lower Mekong River. Venture through charming villages, discovering ancient houses and indigenous culture. Visit a family business producing coconut fudge and crispy rice popcorn. Taste fruit, enjoy Southern Vietnamese folk music, and paddle through scenic canals in the Upper Mekong Delta.
Savor a fresh Vietnamese lunch
Lunch offers a chance to prepare and relish Vietnamese specialties amidst a local garden, engaging with the community. Cycle through orchards, interact with islanders for insights into daily life, and visit Ba Kiet’s ancient house. Return by boat to Cai Be, then commence the journey to Can Tho City for an overnight stay.

- Accommodation is based on twin or double share basic at a 3-star hotel in Can Tho City (West hotel or similar) and a 3-star local hotel in Chau Doc Province (Paris Hotel or similar)
- For those staying in hotels outside of this area you will have to go to the meeting point.
