Hill Inlet Lookout

After pickup from your accommodation, head to the marina in Airlie Beach by bus. Board the custom-built catamaran and enjoy fresh, homemade, gluten-free brownies as a morning snack. The first stop is at one of the area's many beautiful reefs to go snorkeling. Be blown away by the vivid colors, bountiful fish, and coral formations of the Great Barrier Reef's fringing reef. This spot offers a quieter way to experience the UNESCO-protected reef. Then, head to the second snorkeling spot on the northern tip of Hook Island. You will discover the area's underwater valleys, caves, and a variety of marine life. Continue to Whitehaven Beach for a buffet lunch of zucchini frittatas and quiche lorraine served with cold sliced meats, cheeses, salads, and fresh bread. After lunch, join a guided bush walk and history talk to Hill Inlet Lookout, located at the northern end of the beach. Admire the world-famous spot where white sands and turquoise waters blend in a unique swirling effect. Enjoy some free time to relax on the beach and soak up the scenery. An afternoon snack of fresh fruit will be provided before the scenic journey back to Airlie Beach by boat. Be dropped back at your accommodation at approximately 5:00 PM.

Departing from Airlie Beach, Camira cruises past Whitsunday Island, passing Daydream and Hook islands en route. On Whitsunday Island’s east coast, Camira moors at the northern end of Whitehaven Beach, a 7km arc of dazzling white sand, regularly voted Australia’s best beach. On a guided hike to Hill Inlet lookout, follow a path walked by the Whitsundays’ traditional owners, the Ngaro people. Back on the beach, swim and stroll along the shore before a BBQ lunch cooked and served on board. After lunch, you will head to one of the Whitsundays fringing reefs for some snorkelling before sailing back to shore.

Get picked up from the nearest meeting point and begin your beach adventure. Board a comfortable speedboat and head to your first stop, an idyllic snorkeling location off-shore. Spend about an hour snorkeling in the fringes of the Great Barrier Reef and exploring the area's marine life. Next, head to the world-famous Whitehaven Beach. Relax on the beach and enjoy a fresh buffet, including salad, shrimp, a meat platter, fruit salads, bread rolls, and wraps. Hop back on the boat and head to your last stop, Hill Inlet Lookout. Spend about an hour admiring the stunning views from this perfect vantage point before returning back to shore. From July to September, keep an eye out for humpback whales as they migrate.

Explore the colorful underwater world snorkelling at the Bait Reef Lagoon, relax on Whitsunday Beach, and take in the views from Hill Inlet lookout. Board the jet speedboat in Airlie Beach and set off at high speed to the Great Barrier Reef. Get equipped with your snorkeling gear and discover the diverse and vibrant marine life at the Bait Reef Lagoon and Stepping Stones. Choose to snorkel at your own pace, or be escorted by your expert guides. Then ride across the waves back to the southern end of Whitehaven Beach. Take part in an adult only sailing experience. A day on board Lady Enid is like no other sailing trip in the Whitsundays. A cut above, Lady Enid promises barefoot luxury and comfort, with a highly attentive level of service. Delectable meals are provided, and sparkling wine is served with antipasto in the afternoon. After hotel pickup, head to the marine to board the boat. Once onboard Lady Enid you will be introduced to the crew. You will be given a courtesy bottle of spring water which can be refilled throughout the day as required. As you head out to sea, tea and coffee will be served with fresh scones, clotted cream and strawberries. Arrive at Tongue Bay, adjacent to the famous lookout at Whitehaven Beach in the late morning. Enjoy an easy walk along the beautiful bush track to the Hill Inlet lookout over Whitehaven Beach, where you will have time to take in the view. You will then make your way down to Whitehaven Beach for some time to relax on the soft white silica sand, and to enjoy the shallow waters of one of Australia’s most famous beaches. Return from Whitehaven Beach for lunch onboard. After lunch, sail to a snorkelling site. Snorkelling is optional and guests not taking part in snorkelling can sit and enjoy a cool beer or glass of wine from the bar. Spend approximately 40 minutes at the snorkelling site. Explore the diversity of corals and all manner of colourful marine life that call the Whitsundays home. All snorkelling equipment is provided, including wetsuits if required. Sailing back to port will truly be memorable, as you watch the sunset over Airlie Beach with a glass of Australian sparkling wine in hand.
