Good trip overall, Ninh Binh is a beautiful place and well worth a visit. The bike tour to the temple is good and easy paced whilst also not that long so that’s good in the heat. The lunch buffet is amazing, lots of choice and good quality. The boat trip on the river is spectacular but we felt a little long at 1h45 mins. If there was a way to shorten the loop to 1hr I think it’s enough and you save some energy for the climb up the 500 steps. Be aware at the top it’s really rocky and busy so not easy to go past the pavilion area near the top. Still the views are awesome!

Our tour guide, Andrea, was really amazing. He was thoughtful, funny, knowledgeable, and you can see he genuinely loves what he is doing. He was so friendly and we had an amazing day! His energy, enthusiasm and kindness really makes him not only a great guide, but also a great person. I would definitely recommend this trip, and hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Andrea as a guide too! :)
