Excellent commentary, easy to use and find stops, a fantastic way to explore the city in a short period of time. Harbor Cruise exclusively in German without any provision for other languages, but I guess we chose the wrong departure.

Friendly bus driver and boat crew, smooth journeys and informative English commentary on bus (via headphones) with a good feel for Hamburg. Harbour tour great, especially up close to the enormous container ships. Would have liked it if boat had gone inland a little via the canals, and also no English commentary on the boat (but I remembered enough of my school German lessons to get the gist).

Create your own sightseeing tour: wherever you want to stop, you can just hop off the bus and then hop back on later. Combine your 1-day ticket for sightseeing tour Line A with a water ticket. You can choose a  water program on the Elbe or Alster. 

You can choose between:
• 1-hour or 2-hour harbor cruise (St. Pauli piers 1+4)
• 1-hour Alster tour (Jungfernstieg jetty)

  • The Alster steamers and harbor cruise have an audio guide system in English
  • The Line A sightseeing tours are presented through a GPS-controlled audio system and headphones in the following languages: English, German, French, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Danish, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and Portuguese. Headphones will be provided free of charge on the bus
