This 6-hour tour is organized for all the cruise passengers who wish to explore the beauty of Lofoten. The meeting points are Gravdal pier (Leknes) or Svolvær pier - depending where your ship docks! We will take you to see the most beautiful highlights of Lofoten: from beaches, to mountains to traditional fishing villages all surrounded by stunning panoramic views. If you are stopping in Gravdal, this is the itinerary: -Ramberg beach, Flakstad church, Hamnøy, Sakrisøy, Reine, Å If you are stopping in Svolvær, this is the itinerary: -Vågan church, Haukland beach, Gimsøy, Henningsvær, This is a shared tour. You will take part in the excursion together with a local guide. The group size can vary and in exceptional cases can be up to 45 people. The order of the stops visited may vary, or the route may be adjusted due to weather or time. The pick up time will be adapted to the schedule of your ship.

First, meet your guide and get introduced to your horse for the tour. Get fitted for your helmet, and hear a quick introduction form your guide about how to handle the reins. Then, begin your ride over Hov, an Arctic beach, at a slow pace. We sometimes get lucky enough to observe our local bird life in the summer, including the majestic sea eagle. Next, head towards the fishing village of Hovsund. After a gentle climb and more spectacular views, you can catch a glimpse of the traditional fish-drying racks while riding past ancient remnants from the Viking age before heading back to the stable. Important: It is mandatory that you inform us name, weight, height, age and experience level of the riders in English while booking. We keep a high safety standard for both riders and horses.

Hov Gård is situated on the northern edge of the island of Gimsøya, which makes it one of the best places in the Lofoten to experience the Midnight sun. We start the ride from our Hov Gård stables while the sun is slowly dipping just above the horizon, offering a never-ending golden hour. After a gentle climb, the views open up, on one side the ocean, and the other side mountains. We make our way to Hovsund, passing the traditional fish drying rack before heading back to the Arctic beach and slowly making our way back home. This tour does not require any experience, and everyone is more than welcome to join. The maximum weight is 95 kilos. Lofoten by horse is slow-paced, so if you have experience and are looking for something more advanced, look at our longer tour options. This tour cannot be adapted for more experienced riders. We provide helmets, warm clothes, rain gear, boots, and gloves. We put safety first, and if the weather conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule. Important: It's mandatory that you inform us about name, weight, height, age and experience level in English when you book, for us to keep high safety standards - both for the horses and guests.
