Galičica National Park

Quad biking will be sure to give you that sense of adventure you’re seeking. So, enjoy the ride! At the starting point you will get the quadbike, gear and necessary instructions. Afterwards you will ride into the mountains of the national park of Galicica. While riding through the rural offroad areas of this park, you will have plenty of breaks and stunning photo stops. When the ride is finished, you can choose to have a BBQ lunch for an additional € 10 p.p.

We start with a pick up route thourgh Ohrid and surrounding villages. At 09.00 the tour starts in Pestani where our own small boats are located (11pax per boat, 2 boats max). Explore the beauty of Lake Ohrid on a boat tour from Pestani. Cruise along the shore and see the high cliffs and lush Galičica National Park. Stop at the Bay of Bones for a photo opportunity from the water. Enjoy a relaxing coffee moment by the water in Trpejca, the Saint Tropez of Ohrid. Zaum, a seven-hundred-year-old church accessible only by boat. Enjoy a barbecue under high rocks and take a refreshing dip from the jetty. Between 17.00 - 18.00 return to Pestani, where your adventure began.

Roam through on of the most fascinating Natural Parks of the Balkans, known for the diverse wildlife and various plants. Because of the amount of rain this untouched piece of nature, combined with the bordering Natural Park of Pelister, households a whooping 1644 different species of butterflies. And even the Balkan lynx made this place her home, which is a national symbol of North Macedonia. At the entrance of the National Park Galicica the excursion starts. The tour passes through the village of Velestovo and crosses a forest of low trunk plants and a rocky area. Furthermore, the route gets to a larger area covered with pastures and a natural mountain lake. Of course, along the way, there will be multiple stops to enjoy the stunning view of the glistering and brightening colors of the Lake and the city of Ohrid. So, plenty of beautiful opportunities to make pictures. While looking at the the other side of the lake, you will see the Albanian mountains rise above the mist that clouds the lake on warm days. The goal of this tour is to cycle around the lake of Ohrid, which is a distance of a whooping 94 km! Encountering a dozen different idyllic (fishing) villages, ancient historical remaining’s and pure nature. On the road many photo stops and breaks will be made, for example, in the National Park of Galicica, where you will have the chance to make astonishing pictures. Your adventure starts in the city of Ohrid at 09:00, where your e-bike and gear are waiting. Bike until you reach the border and arrive into the town of Pogradec, where you will take a break and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. From Pogradec cycle back to North-Macedonia, passing Memlisht, Udenisht and Lin. After passing the border again, you will go via Mali Vlaj, Frangovo and Struga to the starting point in Ohrid, where your transfer will bring you back.

Stop briefly on your journey at the Bay of Bones, a village brought back to life from the ancient Iron Age.  Arrive at the Monastery of St. Naum and see the springs, part of the Galičica National Park. Take in the peaceful natural scenery from the comfort of a boat cruise. Drink coffee in one of the restaurants overlooking the mountains and try a traditional lunch.
