Explore the picturesque and green city of Freiburg during a wonderful walking tour through the old town. See the famous Freiburger Bächle, the small waterways along the streets and alleys, and the contorted alleys called Gässle, as well as many of the colorful Rheinkiesel-mosaics, which give the city its distinctive atmosphere. This wine tasing tour combines the joys of wine with the fascination of nature hike and facts about the Schlossberg - and offers an unforgettable experience! As we hike comfortably over the slopes of the Schlossberg, an impressive view opens up in front of us: the beauty of the Rheingraben, the concise Kaiserstuhl and the majestic Vosges will enchant us. Since the Freiburger Schlossberg is located directly on the edge of Freiburg's old town and city center, the wine hike starts in Freiburg city center and ends at another point in Freiburg city center (old town). Your three-country adventure begins in Colmar, where your guide will pick you up directly at the meeting point you selected. On your way to Germany, you’ll pass by the fortified village of Neuf-Brisach, a UNESCO world heritage site dating back to the late 17th century.  From there, you'll drive to Germany and visit Freiburg, one of the treasures of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Amble through the streets that seem ripped straight from a fairytale, taking note of the channels of water that runs right alongside sidewalks. Afterward, you'll pass through another border bound for Basel in Switzerland. Divided into 2 parts by the Rhine river, the city has much to offer, with its picturesque bridges, narrow, winding alleyways, and stunning cathedrals.  Wandering through the medieval town of Great Basel, look for the unique cultural aspects of the city that differentiate it from other Swiss towns. Your day trip ends in perhaps the most charming and beautiful village in France: Eguisheim. Situated just south of Colmar, the town runs in concentric circles around a central plaza.  With tightly packed antique houses painted in brightly-colored hues, quaint shops, and a medieval castle, there are few villages in the world that so truly harken back to another age. After a day filled with discoveries and breathtaking landscapes, you’ll be driven back to Colmar in the late afternoon.
