Overall it was excellent. We were not able to get into Pompeii which was a bit disappointing since I thought tickets were already part of the tour, meaning we wouldn’t have to wait in the ticket line. But they did take us up to a nice view point of the city and Vesuvius as a consolation. Herculaneum was amazing though and the tour guide there was phenomenal.

This tour made seeing Pompeii and Herculaneum easy. Carmela ensured the day went smoothly and offered interesting information. Our guide at Pompeii and Herculaneum ensured we got the most out of our time there. Pompeii is such a large site and having a guide who knew it so well ensured we got to see the key areas in the allotted time, something we definitely could not have achieved by ourselves. Our guide’s knowledge of the sites also meant we learnt a lot that we did not know before and could really appreciate the significance of the sites. Was great to have lunch in between the sites, to refuel and recuperate.

  • During low season, a live guide will be provided inside Pompeii & Herculaneum ruins as long as a minimum of 6 participants per language have been met. For up to 5 participants, the live guide will be replaced with an audio guide
  • The Vesuvius tour is a panoramic and photographic tour along the slopes of the volcano. A visit to the summit of Vesuvius is not included.
  • Please note that the starting time for the tour is 8 AM / 8:30 AM and pickup is provided around 30-40 minutes before; please contact the supplier to set your pickup time and meeting point
