I was a bit skeptical to try a new trip on GYG as there were no previous reviews, but El Jadida was a nice time. The Portuguese city is gorgeous (although the church is closed temporarily). It’s really nice to walk along the beach and enjoy the scenery. However, I think this trip is best for families with small children because the city is very residential with a lot of kids running around. Individuals/Couples may have a hard time due to the lively markets and city bustle— I would choose to visit Essaouira instead of El Jadida. Also, don’t forget to take out dirhams before you leave Marrakesh, the banks/ atms are far from the tourist area and all the restaurants only take cash. Our driver, Yousefi, was incredibly sweet and when we were ready to go, he came and picked us up very quickly. He also stopped and allowed us to eat breakfast on the way to the city. All in all, 4 stars for the city, 5 stars for the great driver.
