Definitely the best excursion during our AIDA cruise through the Norwegian fjords!!! The meeting point was within walking distance of the harbor. During the trip up to the Voringsfossen waterfall, you could already get a first impression of this wonderful nature. Once there, we had about an hour to climb down the waterfall on a side path and enjoy the panorama from below. So we also had a few minutes to take in the raging masses of water. Then we drove on towards the Sysenvatn reservoir, an important source of energy in Norway. A big plus point: Only this tour goes so far up. It is accordingly quiet and relaxed here. :) On the way back, we took two short breaks at a photo stop and a church in Eidfjord. Our Dutch guide Bas made this tour an experience that we will remember for a long time with his relaxed and humorous manner! :)

5 out of 5 stars

A well-timed bus tour to simply breathtaking places such as the Vorinsfossen waterfalls or Norway's highest plateau, Hardangervidda. In addition, "Bas" is a Dutch tour guide who lives in Norway and brought the tour to life with lots of humor and information about current life situations. No dry history lesson, but contemporary history with wit, charm and the necessary figures... Thank you very much - highly recommended!

The scenery was stunning and the having a private guide to provide details of each area that we went to was an added bonus. Thomas provided insight on how each village we went thru changed with the seasons and pointed out crops that were grown in each valley.

Bas was very nice and gave great information. We have rarely experienced better.
