Great way to travel around to different sites. Our driver Phillip was great and drove us all day. Stops at Edfu and Kom Ombo were short but both temples had something unique to offer. Abu Simbel was the best, a must see site! Our guide Mohamed was fun and knowledgeable. Be prepared for a long drive. Overall long day 5am in Luxor to 9pm to our hotel in Aswan.

Embark on a journey from Luxor to Aswan. Explore the Temple of Horus in Edfu, a captivating ancient structure. Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo dedicated to Sobek and Har Wer. Cap off your adventure at the awe-inspiring Great Temples of Abu Simbel. Enjoy an Egyptian lunch before returning to Aswan.

Start with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Luxor to start your trip to Aswan. Make your first stop at Edfu to visit the temple of Horus, the avenging son of Isis and Osiris. With its roof intact, it is also one of the most atmospheric of ancient buildings.

Move to the next temple, the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to two deities, the crocodile god Sobek, and the falcon god Har wer (Horus the Elder). Learn more about the temple and its unique structure with your Egyptologist guide. 

Finally, explore the Great Temples of Abu Simbel, meant to convey the power of Egypt’s rulers to anyone who laid eyes upon them. The four statues guarding the doorway to the larger of these temples are the largest sculptures that survive from the ancient Pharaonic era.

We were picked up at our hotel in Luxor at 5AM. There were staff of Nice Tour who gave us snack pack with water and a little token (bracelet) as souvenir. It was quite a long trip but worth it if you only have a few days to explore the area. The 2 drivers were good, but the road conditions in some areas were bad. We had guides waiting for us in every temple, and they were all knowledgeable. We reached Abu Simbel at 2:30PM and we had the place on our own because the flock ot tourist already left. We had to catch our 8:30PM flight in Aswan airport, so we had our late lunch inside the car on our way to the airport. Everything was well coordinated.
