8:00 am-9:00 am: Preparation Your guide and driver will pick you up at about 7:20 and escort you to the panda base. After arrival, sigh up and put on work clothes and gloves. The experienced keepers will tell you what to do, and your tour guide will be always by your side, interpreting for you and helping you take photos. 9:00 am-10:00 am: Prepare bamboos for Pandas and Watch the keeper feeding a panda at a very close distance You will break bamboos and wash some bamboos shoots for pandas . Watch the keeper feeding a panda at a very close distance.It is a good chance for you to observe pandas and get a close encounter with them. 10:00 am-11:30 am: Visit other enclosures Roam around the base and take a visit to have a look of more giant pandas and red pandas. It is a perfect time to observe their living habits when they do different things--eating, snoozing, tumbling and climbing trees. Observing the keepers feeding the pandas up close.. 11:30 am-13:30 pm: Have a lunch break A simple Chinese lunch is provided in the canteen, usually consisting of two meat dishes and one vegetable dish, with rice and porridge also available. It is highly recommended that you bring some snacks in case the food doesn't suit your taste. 13:30 pm- 14:00 pm: Watch panda documentary movie Watch a panda documentary to understand better why we should protect them and how we do so. 14:00 pm-14:30 pm: Make panda cakes Like human-beings, pandas also have their special snacks-panda cakes, “wowotou”. The ingredients are healthy and delicious. It is time for you to make some panda cakes by hand under the guidance of experienced nutritionists. 14:30 pm- 15:00 pm: Get a certificate After a whole day’s work, you will receive a certificate for the unforgettable day. Then, your guide and driver will escort you back to Chengdu. Optional Add-On: After your panda volunteering experience, you can add-on an optional Red Panda Experience. If you wish to add this option, be sure to first book your panda experience, then add the red panda experience.

07:00-07:30am The driver/guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and take you to the Dujiang Yan Panda Base. The duration takes about 1.5 hours. 09:00am You will start your daily project, your experience will consist of working closely with panda keepers and the pandas in their enclosures. In the morning, your main duties will be to clean the panda enclosures, prepare fresh bamboo for the pandas. 12:00pm Lunch Time(Buffet) 13:00pm-14:30pm Watch a movie to learn more about the Giant Pandas. Make panda cakes for the pandas . Expand your knowledge of thisincredible animal by learning from experts and get a certificate acknowledging your work as a panda volunteer. 15:30pm The project ends and then drive back to Chengdu. Your Attention Please: **Extra CNY/yan will be charged if you do the project in Wolong Panda Base instead of Dujiangyan Panda Base. It happens when Dujiangyan Panda Base is fully booked. **The trip we arranged is cooperated with Dujiang Yan/Wolong Panda Base. Travelers who will join the trip, please fully understand the conditions for which we will send to you. **Even after we have accepted your application to arrange your trip and confirmed the itinerary, it is still subject to change in the case of natural disaster, cancellation caused by governmental order, or other factors that we are not able to predict. Itinerary: 7:30am-8:30am: Pick up from Chengdu downtown hotel and drive to Dujiangyan Panda Base. 8:30am-11:30am: Observe giant and red pandas and take pictures. 11:30am-1:00pm: Drive to Dujiangyan downtown via Zhongshuge bookstore in a mall, known as the only Hogwarts Library in China. Lunch at one of the various restaurants. 1:00pm-4:30pm: Visit the irrigation system, temples, and gardens. 4:30pm-6:00pm: Drive back to Chengdu downtown hotel via highway. Note: please feel free to contact us for a customized tour. The panda park is a post-earthquake reconstruction project funded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. It is home to over 50 giant pandas and 20 red pandas, including some born overseas who have returned to China. Visitors may have a chance encounter with familiar pandas. As a former worker at the Wolong base, I have some friends here too. The Dujiangyan irrigation system, constructed around 256 BC, is an ancient ecological engineering feat that uses natural topography and hydrology to divert water for irrigation, drain sediment, and control floods without dams. Located on the Minjiang River and Mount Yulei, it is also a great place to experience nature."

At around 7 am, the driver picks you up at your hotel and takes you to the panda base. Giant Panda Experience Schedule: Preparation: Sign safety agreement at around 9:00 am, get work clothes. Staff explain precautions and do pre-job training. Morning: Go to feeding point. Under guidance of science teacher, prepare bamboo, clean. Observe keepers feed and train pandas. Learn about panda habits. Noon: Have base lunch and rest. Afternoon: Watch panda documentary. Make panda food. Know diets of captive and wild pandas. Cut bamboo leaves for elderly pandas in rehab. Ending: Get commemorative certificate. Visit park freely. Leave park at around 15:30. Driver takes you back to hotel. Notes: 1. Hotels within Chengdu's Third Ring Road have pick-up and drop-off service. Chinese driver. Communicate via translation app. 2. Park has Chinese/English guides. Book 5-7 days in advance. Opening Ceremony of Maotun Ancient Qiang City - Dixi Lake - Songpan Ancient City - Jiuzhaigoukou. Morning: Ancient Qiang City opening ceremony, then Dixi Lake (earthquake-formed). Afternoon: Lunch in Songpan, historical military city. Evening: Arrive at Indigo Jiuzhaigou hotel. Accommodation: Hotel Indigo Jiuzhaigou Meals: Breakfast Transportation: 7-seater car Day 4. Jiuzhaigou Full Day Tour After breakfast today, we will visit the world natural heritage, China's 5 star scenic spot Jiugou (including tickets + sightseeing bus).Explore Jiuzhaigou ("fairy tale world") by scenic bus, enjoying its lakes, waterfalls, and vibrant landscapes, including Mirror Lake, Changhai, Five Color Pool, Shuzheng Lake, and Nuorilang Waterfall. Accommodation: Indigo Jiuzhaigou Hotel. Meals: Breakfast. Transportation:7-seater car. Day 5. Jiuzhaigou Valley Mouth-Huanglong Scenic Area-Mao County Morning: Depart after breakfast, take a 1.5-hour drive to Huanglong Scenic Area for sightseeing (including tickets + upward cableway); Afternoon: After lunch, return from a long distance, take a 3.5-hour drive to Mao County, and check in to the hotel. Accommodation: Indigo Jiuzhaigou Hotel, Meals: Breakfast. Transportation: 7-seater car. Day 6. Maoxian-Wenchuan Earthquake Site-Sichuan Cuisine Museum-Chengdu City Morning: After breakfast, first take a 2-hour bus ride to the Wenchuan Yingxiu Earthquake Site; Afternoon: After the Yingxiu Earthquake Site tour, eat according to the situation, and after lunch, go to the Sichuan Cuisine Museum (including tickets + Sichuan! Cooking experience) Day 7. Chengdu-Huanglongxi Ancient Town-Leshan Giant Buddha-Emei Mountain Foot Morning: After breakfast, go to Huanglongxi Ancient Town for a tour; Afternoon: After lunch, take a 2-hour bus ride to Leshan Giant Buddha Mountain Tour (mountain tour ticket included); Leshan Giant Buddha, also known as Lingyun Giant Buddha, is 71 meters high and is the largest stone-carved sitting Buddha in the world. Day 8. Emeishan Golden Summit - Emeishan Mid-mountain - Chengdu City Morning: Emeishan Golden Summit (cableway, tour guide). Afternoon: Descend via cableway, bus from Leidongping, return to Chengdu hotel Day 9. Airport transfer After breakfast, you will be sent back to the airport according to the flight time.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Xi'an. DAY 5 Xian | The Terracotta Army Everything in Xi'an is about history. The Terracotta Army, with each figure being unique, has guarded Emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb since 210 BC. Next, visit the 600-year-old ancient city wall. Enjoy a leisurely bike ride or walk along its ramparts. DAY 6 Xian to Chengdu | Xi'an City Highlights Discover more ancient history at Little Wild Goose Pagoda. Join a local family and learn how to make Jiaozi, Chinese dumplings. Finally, hop onto a high-speed train for a 4-hour journey to Chengdu. DAY 7 Chengdu | One-Day Panda Keeper Program Chengdu is the only place in the world where you can get close to giant pandas. you will get very close to these cuddly creatures and learn more about them during the Panda Keeper Program . DAY 8 Chengdu to Chongqing | Authentic Chengdu Life Start your day at Chengdu People's Park to experience an authentic local life. Next, venture to Jinli Old Street, where you can taste delicious local snacks. Take the bullet train to Chongqing after the tour and then check-in for a Yangtze River cruise . DAY 9 Yangtze Cruise | Fengdu Ghost City Enjoy tai chi morning exercise if you would like to (available every day). Take a shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City in the morning. Enjoy the cultural activities on the ship in the afternoon and a night show — War Fires of the Three Kingdoms (optional) after dinner. DAY 10 Yangtze Cruise | Gorgeous Gorges Optional excursion to White Emperor City is a nice choice. Enjoy a shore excursion to Shennv Stream in the afternoon. Enjoy the Crew Cabaret and Talent Show after dinner on the ship. DAY 11 Yichang | Yichang to Shanghai by Bullet Train Disembark in the morning, and then join the shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam. You will be transferred to the tourist center in Yichang city after the tour for your bullet train journey to Shanghai. DAY 12 Shanghai | Highlights with Bund Discovery Do more than just take one or two selfies on the Bund.
