Our tours begin at the Mall Road near Ashmita Trek & Tours location at 9 AM. We embark on a walk to the Darjeeling Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, featuring the Tenzing Norgay Everest Museum, which is approximately 1.5 kilometres away. After visiting the museum, we continue on a nature walk, passing through a local cultural village that offers picturesque views, about 4 kilometres ahead. Following this, we stop by the Tibetan Refugee Centre in Darjeeling. This centre, founded on October 2, 1959, serves as a rehabilitation facility for Tibetan refugees who fled Tibet with the Dalai Lama. It primarily focuses on producing Tibetan handicrafts. Our journey then leads us to the Bhutia Busty Monastery, also known as Karma Dorjee Chyoling Monastery, which is a Buddhist establishment. Originally a branch of the Kagyupa sect's Phodang Monastery in Sikkim, it was relocated to Darjeeling in 1879. We then head back to Mall Road, enjoying a gentle uphill walk spanning about 2 kilometres over the course of an hour, concluding the tour at Chaurasta Mall Road.

Tiger Hill is the highest point in the Darjeeling Hills at an altitude of 8482 feet (or 2590 meters) and 11 km (6.8 miles) away from Darjeeling town. The view of Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill is very clearly seen if the weather is clear with a blue sky, and the scenery is breathtaking. You will be picked up at 4 am by a representative and driven to Tiger Hill, 14 km away. It will take about an hour to reach Tiger Hill. Upon arrival, you will have a breathtaking view of the sunrise and a panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together. Later, you will start your hike towards Jorbanglow, a about 4 km trek through the pine forest to reach Jorbanglow, which means a four-road meeting point. We will have a local breakfast at a small homestay. Later, we continue trekking via Tenzing Norgay Road, which is called Alubari Road in the local language (Alu means potato and Bari means land). This road is 7 km back to Darjeeling. On the way, we will visit a Buddhist monastery named Alubari Monastery. The actual name of the monastery is Yolmowa Mak Dhog Monastery, which was built in the year 1914. After visiting the monastery, we continue to hike to Darjeeling, so you will finish your hike by approximately 11 am at Chowrasta, which means a four-road meeting point for your tour and for your onward journey with happy memories to cherish.

The day hike near the Darjeeling valley begins with a 6am wakeup, and be back in Darjeeling around 5pm. After departing from the hotel, we take a 2.5-hour drive through Manayvhanjang to reach Dhotrey, which is situated at an altitude of 8,500 feet. Captivated by the vibrant rhododendrons and forest blossoms, we arrive in Dhotrey filled with excitement. This charming village is nestled among terraced hills. Here, we enjoy a local traditional breakfast before embarking on our trek through thick forests to Tonglu, located 6km away at 10,130 feet. 3,070mt Tonglu offers the most stunning vistas of the trek, and on clear days, you can view of the world's three tallest mountains: the Mount Kanchenjunga. Don't forget your camera, as these breathtaking mountain views are rare! After enjoying a healthy local meal at Tonglu, we begin our trek. The path leads us downhill through Meghma, allowing us to visit the Buddhist monastery before continuing the hike to the village of Lamhaydhura. This area hosts a small community of local mountain residents. We take a short tea break here before resuming our journey. Chitrey is our final stop, approximately 9 kilometers from Tonglu. Once there, we meet our driver and head back to Darjeeling, a one-hour drive, carrying with us fond memories of our Tonglu day hike.
